Everything is now: why it helps you trust

We live in a world with time. Clocks tell time and you think in time in terms such as past, present and future.

Actually, there is only one time frame and that is now.

It's easy to say that, but what is everything and how does it compare to now.

Everything is now. So now, then, is everything.

That means everything is now. Simply put, but get the whole idea. That's harder on your brain.

If everything is now, the past and the future do not exist. It is also all the same, past is future and vice versa.

We also understand things through language. Something has happened, so that’s in the past. Something belongs to yesterday, and then there’s also the future and things you’re looking forward to. But those have already happened, too. But how is that possible? If one thing has happened, then the other has already happened as well, since everything is now.

All that is now is very interesting. But my brain, for example, doesn't understand any of it at all, and that's okay. That's the side effect when you start thinking about this. You just have to embrace and accept this feeling.

Einstein called time the fourth dimension. We live three-dimensionally.

Space passes through time, according to Einstein, but our brain can't figure out what that is.

There may be many more dimensions.

This means that your brain - which is attuned to three-dimensional and how you experience everything - can't do anything with the phenomenon that everything is now.

Science about now and the past

Scientists besides Einstein also have great ideas about what now is all about. These indicate that the past and now, is now. The future, according to scientists, does not exist.

But the universe does get bigger every time, according to scientists, as the future becomes now. So as time keeps moving and the past keeps getting bigger, the universe keeps getting bigger.

In doing so, this theory also makes the idea of "now" difficult, because then now can be very difficult to remain. In the end, then, everything becomes the past[1].

Your intuition and the future

Still, as humans, we feel there is a future.

And if you embrace the idea that everything is happening right now—that everything has already happened—then in the future you’ll also experience the past more fully, and that’s where intuition comes from. There are different levels of intuition, and you can train it as well.

Firefighters, for example, are trained in unconscious perception, which makes them feel they need to get out of a building because it is about to collapse.

You also intuitively know things in your field.

For example, I can tell when people are making a shift in their approach to the problem or when they realize what their real problem is.

Intuition is listening to your past—to the story you’ve already told yourself—and simply following it. Then you’ll know what the right decision is, and all you have to do is follow it.

I call intuition more like listening for what's next. Listening to the voice. Hearing that voice clearly about what I can do.

But that voice, that's me. It is also crazy for me not to listen, because that voice knows what is coming. Who knows that is the path of zero resistance.

Am I going to experience things that aren't fun? Absolutely. But that voice always keeps me realizing that it has already happened and I just have to see it through.

This can be difficult for your ego and your sense of self, because it seems as if you’re no longer doing it on your own.

But you can listen to the voice in your head, your heart, or your gut feeling, and this always takes you to a place where words no longer exist. That can be scary, because who are you without your “I”? Then you are nothing—but because of that, you are also immediately everything.

The latter is nice, but the idea that you are nothing is not nice. That's when your IC rebels.

Little thoughts like these can help you. Everything is now. If you think about your past you are experiencing your past now. If you think about tomorrow, you are experiencing the future now. In essence, you are really only experiencing now and really only experiencing the past.

Everything you see is a creation of your own mind and has been given words, thereby gaining a right to exist . So, you’re really only seeing the past.

This couldn't be any different, or I wouldn't be able to encompass it in words.

The future is always the past when put into words.

If you can take this all the way, you'll discover that you're already there. That things are already the way you want them to be. Why are you still kidding yourself that something is going to happen?

This idea can be very soothing.

Living in the now

So you can think about the past and think about the future, but you're doing it all now. By thinking about it, you relive things or visualize things you want (or fear).

Especially if you worry a lot, it is important to live in the now, otherwise you may be suffering twice or even suffering for nothing.

If you ruminate a lot about your past, it's also important to live in the now, because you can't change the past anyway.

By truly living in the present, having faith in a bright future, and even working toward that future, you often ensure that you lead a more stable life[2].

Confidence in the future is also important for young adults to live better and more pleasantly in the now[3].

When everything is now, but you think everything is going completely wrong, it often causes you to live a more financially unstable life. Instead, by trusting your intuition and living in the here and now, you ensure better steps and preparations for a bright future.

Hypnotherapy to improve your now

As mentioned, you can train your intuition to listen carefully for the next step. Firefighters do it, I did it with my hypnotherapy skills, and you can get help.

With hypnotherapy, for example, you can get help to listen more closely to your subconscious. You can gain insight into the moments in your life when you listened closely to your intuition, when fear held you back from doing so, and what the resulting effects were.

By getting those moments right, you actually teach yourself to recognize your voice again when it sends you what the next right step is.

With regression, for example, you can identify moments when things went well and when fears got in your way. Those fears can then be alleviated by taking a closer look at those moments. The hypnotherapist helps you with this.

You can also receive suggestions to help you trust your positive story. For example, you can repeat these every day while doing self-hypnosis or even while standing in front of a mirror as affirmations.

With that, you prime yourself to trust yourself more, such as:

  • My feeling is like a compass.
  • Fear is a bad counselor.
  • I get to choose for myself.
  • I am good enough the way I am.

These are just examples. Depending on your beliefs, experiences and fears, you may receive other suggestions to help you trust in the now and in your future.
