We have helped as many as 250 people with hypnosis, raising 4100 euros for The Forgotten Child Foundation! We at Hypnosis Institute Netherlands are very proud of this. The Charity Day of Saturday, April 13 was one to remember.
Just a quick note: Want to sign up in advance for the next Charity Day on Sept. 15? Then pre-register here to reserve your spot!
Edwin was the first surprise
Edwin was already at the top of the stairs to greet everyone personally. After a short wait with a cup of tea or coffee, the time had come. Everyone got a 1:1 hypnotic experience!
The trainers of the HIN, Nico, Farah, Bart and Simone were there to provide additional support to the therapists who all came from training. On this day, it did not matter to the therapists who helped whether they had only completed the first training, or all three trainings of the Hypnosis Institute Netherlands.
What matters is that people got a hypnotic experience and a first step in solving their problems, which was a challenge because people only had 30 minutes.
The big deal was that everyone who came in went back out with their eyes sparkling. This is one of the reasons why giving hypnotherapy, even if you only take a small step in the 30 minutes of charity day sessions, is so incredibly rewarding.
In doing so, Edwin, the founder of the HIN, was there to personally welcome everyone and to say goodbye again. He wanted to remember all the names for personal attention. Something that miraculously succeeded. Probably a special hypnotic skill of his 😉!
But that wasn't the only special experience we had at Charity Day.
Special experiences
For example, one woman went into a very deep hypnosis also called Esdale. This is such a fine state that you want to stay there, and this may also be the cause of people's fear of staying in hypnosis, as it looks very impressive to bystanders.
No need to be afraid though, you can always come out of this state again, but it will take a little longer than the 10 minutes it takes to come out of normal hypnosis without a therapist giving you suggestions .
Of course, at HIN we teach our trainees to always get everyone out of hypnosis, and we did just that on this day.
The woman who went into this state said afterwards, "This was so wonderful and nice." Her experience was amazing and she was super grateful. Only 1 in 9,000 people can get into this state. So it was also super cool for us to see this and to give the woman this experience.
The experiences of Awa
Awa Prenilla was one of the therapists who gave the hypnotic experience during Charity Day. She fairly recently completed the first training of the Hypnosis Institute Netherlands and now uses her knowledge to help people. Her life is totally different now than before she had taken the training.
Indeed, due to an intense event in her personal life, she decided to change course. She quit her career in real estate. Sold all her belongings, literally everything, and started traveling. During those travels, at a time when she was in the Netherlands, she was able to come to the hypnosis seminar of the Hypnosis Institute Netherlands. She decided to take the training there.
Now she uses this knowledge to help people who suffer from blockages but are eager to grow further. And so she used the knowledge during the charity day.
"I didn't know what to expect. Last year I was there myself as a "client" and I thought that was very clever at the time how all those therapists are there. And now I get to do it.
I was so excited, I loved it so much. Helping people, it gives me so much energy. It's good energy and I almost collapse from that."
She also loved the people she got to help. Normally a session at Awa takes 2 hours, but now she had to do it in 30 minutes.
"At the first lady, I thought 'OK, here we go'." Says Awa. "She was suffering from pain in certain joints. We just went in. She was allowed to pick 1.
Ultimately, it came down to the fact that she needed more self-love. In the session, we did a symbol journey. There she encountered a teddy bear that she went to hug. She had to cry with good feelings.
So we tested right away if she could get up and walk. I said "get up and walk," I felt like Jesus.
She got up and started walking and she said "Oh, how separate, how separate.""
Awa tested it a few more times and then it was good again. The woman was able to walk and move without pain in the joint she had selected.
That day, she actually met only extraordinary people. Even someone with a problem with the brain and the feeling it gave was also resolved.
There were also people with emotional problems. Who specifically wanted to feel connections again with people they had lost. "That was very emotional, but very beautiful. She also sent me a beautiful message. During aftercare, I had asked briefly how things were going. Everything was suddenly all right, and in sync.
This gives me so much energy and I want to help as many people as possible in this life. Because I know this (hypnosis) is out there, and as many people as possible need to know this.
People don't have to muddle through in their misery, pain, lack and lack of love.
It all doesn't have to be. There is a solution and way out and way out. All you have to do is make a choice."
Meanwhile, Awa doesn't persuade anyone to do a session with her. People have to come to her on their own accord because that's when the solution is best and lasts the longest. Plenty of people also come to Awa without her having to run after them.
The experiences of Nataša
Another special experience of the day was for Nataša Dingenouts who was familiar with The Forgotten Child through the work she did before becoming a hypnotherapist. In fact, she previously worked in special education, but now has her own hypnotherapy practice. On this, she said, "Glad I stopped working in the education system and now get to do this. In the end, this is more of a mission than work."
So in her previous work, she also came into contact with The Forgotten Child.
"The forgotten child is the forgotten child for a reason. There may be more attention to that and that you can use money to facilitate things for children. Once there was also an Efteling day organized for children. I know children who participated. They have a memory they will never forget.
Because of her previous experience with The Forgotten Child and her connection to HIN, she was happy to participate in Charity Day.
It was also exciting for Nataša because she didn't know what to expect. Something that is the case with a normal session of hypnotherapy.
"At first it was kind of exciting because I had no idea what to expect. After the first and second you're in such a flow. It became a bigger and bigger party, but also more and more challenging.
There was also a woman who was alreadycryingcame to me. He found it difficult to see positive things in life. Then, fortunately, you're in such a flow that I was able to help her empower herself with aanchor. So that at least she did notice that she could still have good feelings. This allowed her to make conscious choices. That was the intention and because of this she left with a smile."
While it was a nice challenge for Nataša to double-check that the 30-minute session would have a long-lasting effect, it was nice that she was able to help someone take a step forward in that moment.
"Great to be able to make that difference." She says.
Before Nataša, there were also a number of people who had already studied hypnosis a lot, but were still struggling to move forward. She then gave them a technique that helps people move in the right direction.
Nataša also found the connection of the people who came in and the people at Hypnosis Institute Netherlands to be one of the great things about the day. "If people want to leave and give you another hug first, the goal has already been achieved."
