The government campaign a while ago that it's OK to discuss your depression or anxiety really horrifies me. People put on a shirt with the text of their anxiety or depression on it and then suddenly they `are' it. This is then their identity.
Just discussing and anchoring and repeating it doesn't help, you only reinforce that feeling that you have it more and then you become a victim of the disorder. That campaign creates a victim society. For example, scientific research shows that if you have a problem with depression and then you start talking about this problem it reinforces the depressive symptoms. So talking about depression sometimes helps and sometimes it doesn't[1].
Of course, it's okay to talk about your problems.
But those shirts? Just burn them right away! You're not going to see yourself as a victim, are you?
In the end, you don't have it, you do it.
You Do Fear.
You do the depression.
I have done this myself. I still sometimes lie on the couch and have it for a while. From age 15 to 30 I did depression and did addictions. So I understand you if you are facing these problems yourself.
I also know the moment I stepped out of the idea that I was a victim of my addiction, family, past or even karma. I said "I do it myself." They are not things in the end. It's intense when you claim this that you do it yourself.
But when you start believing in hypnosis that it's because of your past, which is mostly a thing in your head, but everything is now and your brain creates a past also the memory of things you say are real are distorted.
If you had a bad childhood, I can use hypnosis to change it in your memory to a good childhood.
Because when you discuss it and you start repeating it over and over again, that also becomes the focus with which you look at your past. Then all of a sudden you think, "Shit man, I was always depressed but I didn't know it." I was one big depression when I looked at my past, but now I don't see it that way anymore. Of course it's still the same, but my brain distorts it because my focus is different now. Now I think that in itself it was a fun time, of course I know that sometimes it wasn't fun either. But that was also true then, then I thought it wasn't fun while sometimes it was fun.
With a shirt like that, you're going to grab it and say you got it. But fuck that, you just do it. You may not understand how you do it, but claim it back.
Don't go all cash in that they can hypnotize you that you are a victim.
You're not going to identify with a problem, are you? You are a winner!
In my opinion, this campaign is a very good marketing ploy by the pharmaceutical industry. Because this will make you feel this way and feel like you need medicine.
I'm not saying they sponsor it, but I wouldn't be surprised either.
There is also discussion in the scientific community whether the World Health Organization's advice to talk about depression is not a kind of system to extend the influence of the pharmaceutical industry to less developed countries[2]. And that the WHO is influenced, we have found out by now.
Because the only ones who benefit are them.
Because it will make you take more pills. 1.2 million people take antidepressants in the Netherlands.
It is a large victim society.
Men shouldn't be men. Then you are an egoist or even a narcissist. If you are alpha male then you are no good, none of that is allowed.
The Netherlands is an incredibly feminine society. Of course it is good that everyone should have equal rights. It's all crooked and lopsided now, and that's not good either.
It really hits the spot.
Women are also no longer allowed to be women and everyone is on pills.
This is not okay. That victim mindset is not good for many people either. Then on top of that comes the fake reality of social media which triggers all sorts of things.
So burn the shirt if you happen to have it. Take charge for yourself. Establish yourself as the miracle that you are. Claim that, you make your heart beat, blood flow, bacteria leave your body, your brain work. You don't know how, but you do. So claim that also then because depression you also do, but you don't know how. So claim the good things also that you don't know how you do.
Then you are telling the truth more than if you are going to dismiss yourself as a victim with depression. Because if you think about it, you don't have it, you do it. You can't even grasp it. If indeed you start believing you won't get rid of it, then they are going to say you have to learn to deal with it.
You do something and you can do something else, too.
As early as school it starts with all the tests that you think you might not be good enough. Then later with social media you get that feeling because everyone only shows the good things.
Those bad feelings, you can wallow in that, I even spent years doing that, but I did it. You can learn to start doing something different. You can look at this 4 ways.
Physically, what am I putting in my body? If you eat pink cakes all day, they will naturally depress you and make you fat. Sugar is poison and that often triggers such feelings as well.
Not exercising also has an effect. Exercising also has an effect. Not feeling like exercising is bullshit; you just have to do it. Then you'll feel better.
This doesn't always work out, then you may think you've failed, but you just keep going.
Eating vegetables is also very important. For example, 500 grams of green vegetables gives a lot of effect. Eating spinach gives a very different effect than pink cakes.
It's not higher math.
Sleeping 8 hours a day is a good thing to do. If you can't manage this, you need to train and practice it.
Can't, can't or whatever? Sleeping, eating and exercising properly will already solve many problems.
Still not succeeding? Then you need therapy, perhaps you have a trauma or another problem. Then you solve the problem and can also move on. This can be done with hypnosis
If that's not enough, look at your beliefs about life. Your ideas about how the world works and you need to change them. Again, this can be done with hypnosis.
Of course, you may suddenly start binge eating pink cakes again and then you notice the effect immediately and change it again. Then you move on again. You do it.
I was doing depression because of emotional trauma. Because I did nothing about it, it only got worse. It can happen to you, too, and it's easier to blame someone else. I did that too, but at some point that didn't work anymore.
Then I had to resolve my emotional trauma. No more doing addictions. I started training hard and eating right and then I was a completely different person. If I can do it as a junk to a successful entrepreneur then anyone can.
I succeeded, and scientific research shows that you too can be helped with depressive symptoms when you are recovering from addiction. The combination of hypnosis with cognitive behavioral therapy helps people stop doing the depression[3]. It was no coincidence that this worked for me, it has been researched and so can certainly help other people get rid of behaviors and feelings that are not helpful as well.
It's not necessarily easy.
But I would like you to begin to see that you are a miracle. You are truly amazing. You do stupid things sometimes, but who doesn't? And you do many genius things, claim those too!

Because hypnosis has had such an impact on my life, I want to tell and teach everyone all about it. I started learning it myself and it is the foundation of the Hypnosis Institute Netherlands.
Want to help yourself or others get rid of anxiety, depression and other awkward feelings or behaviors? Then delve into hypnosis.
At the Hypnosis Institute Netherlands, for example, you can attend a Hypnosis Playshop, go to a seminar or enroll in training to become a hypnotherapist yourself. The trainings are given on location and online. So learning more about hypnosis at home is also possible!
