Winner. Are you participating or want to win?

You are a winner whether you want to be or not. You won from 80 million others who participated. You are here in the world, you have won.

And that winning is in us. Struggle is in us. Whether we are having a conversation with someone, trying to get something done, there is a continuous struggle. Who wins.

Are you a winner?

Now many people don't want that at all. Then you hear "Participation is more important than winning..." well, no.

The tiger participated, so did the panda, so did six other human races. The last are extinct and the first two almost. Why? They don't beat Homo Sapiens. You can say what you like, but that's how it works.

During a job application, someone wins. During a competition in sports, too. At companies, too. 94% of people in the Netherlands are on a Facebook-related business daily on the site or app. Amazon is becoming the biggest store, Google has claimed the Internet.

Sure, you can go compete, but if you step onto the field against someone who wants to win, you're going to have a very tough time. And winning is not bad at all.

You also want to win over your partner right? Every day? You're not in a relationship to join, are you? Will your wife or husband like it.

And if you don't want to win from someone, you still have yourself from whom you can or even should win.

Need to win? Yes, by nature people are lazy, seek ease and want to be comfortable.

But that creates disease and obesity.

I assume you want to get out of that hypnosis and not lose your lazy mind. So you need to get going and fight that voice in your own head. Every moment again, every workout again, every conversation again.

In martial arts, they say it too. There is only one opponent and that is yourself. You must win from that. And if you keep the slogan that participating is more important and you join in with that voice in your head that wants ease? That's going to be misery.

Go for the win! Be the winner, that's how you were born.
