Contest win: how to do it.

How do you win the contest? This is an interesting question. We all know winning a match from our youth, playing good soccer or with another sport, but how do you make sure you win a match?

Hypnosis can help you win a contest. Then don't think of Rasta Rostelli's show hypnosis. No, think more therapeutic hypnosis. Show hypnosis does show that much is possible, then think what is possible when you use it precisely to make people better.

Race to win your health

To help people get on their feet faster. To help people with anxiety, depression or burnout. People with mental illnesses you can help with hypnosis. They can win the race against that illness with hypnosis.

This is possible because mental illnesses are essentially not illnesses in which you have physical abnormalities, such as a broken arm or cancer.

Mental illness is often something people do unconsciously. This can be due to anything, such as an innate character. But often this is learned behavior or encouraged from the environment. Those two elements are strong to trigger you.

For example, I am addiction-prone. Then when I walk into an environment where people are using addictive substances and I also experience things that are less pleasant, the flight to narcotics becomes easier to numb negative feelings.

Then, just like that, you can be an addict. Usually first in other people's eyes, but often eventually in your own.

It is more convenient to be addicted, not be in such an environment and otherwise feel fine, then nothing will happen.

So it really is something that is triggered (a traumatic event) or what is learned behavior (being in such an environment). You can use hypnosis well for that.

With new behaviors, you often also seek a different environment. People start responding to you differently and other people actually hook up with you. For example, people who help you win.

Because the most difficult thing to win is winning in an environment that doesn't help you do so.

Sports competition win

Then the sports component of winning. In fact, you can also use hypnosis to improve performance.

For example, how do you win a race? Joop Zoetemelk said that you win the Tour de France in your bed. Being able to rest and recover is important to win such a tough race. If you can sleep well, you have an advantage over cyclists who cannot sleep well.

So suppose you can sleep well, you have a good diet for your sports and you train well to your individual strengths. You're doing everything right.

So what else can you do to win?

Then your mental strength is also important. How are you on the field, how do you deal with things that happen in your personal life? As a soccer player, can you keep that out of the stadium so you can focus on the game?

Imagine something happens, how do you deal with it as an athlete?

You sometimes see in sports that take a long time, such as tennis, that it ultimately comes down to the mental component to win. After all, fit are all elite athletes.

So who wants to win the most? Who can hold focus the longest? Who can stay sharp? Who can pull out just that last bit?

People also sometimes talk about a winner's mentality. That includes the word mental. They never talk about a winner's mindset. So it's about a mental component, something that is super important.

That's where you often win it. You win in your head, and by that I mean in your body as well.

Because when you are empty in your head and you get into the flow, you automatically play. All the training work you want to let go. You don't want to think anymore; you want everything to be automatic.

When it's there, you want to be able to let loose in a match. Your power you want to be able to let loose on it.

With hypnosis, this is possible. The athlete is in shape. The athlete is complete and totally in the zone. The athlete is in a flow, the whole match and everything is automatic. Even then, he can still lose.

But then you can't say you missed out because you weren't in shape, because you weren't in the zone.

You often see that winning is down to a psychological component. If you're in the zone every game, at some point you're going to win. That's where hypnosis can play a big role.

So winning a contest is something you do in your head. At the time of the contest, you have to be able to let it all out. In fact, you then have to be in hypnosis and let it all go.

Sports hypnosis for sports performance

Sports hypnosis is a form of hypnosis that you perform while your eyes are open. In fact, this helps you get into the flow during a game, which is also a form of hypnosis.

However, it is not easy for beginners to get into waking hypnosis; whatever hypnosis with the eyes open is called. Therefore, athletes are trained in normal hypnosis, self-hypnosis and eyes-open hypnosis.

The idea is that you can put yourself into hypnosis by making certain movements or by a trigger for which you have been given a post-hypnotic suggestion.

Athletes who have won Olympic medals report that this form of sports hypnosis played an important role in their gains[1].

Hypnosis for improving performance

A study on basketball players and hypnosis also found that hypnosis helps improve performance. So this also improves your chances of winning a game.

In this study, 1two male and 12 female basketball players were hypnotized in a group session. The players' scores from the season before the hypnosis session and after the hypnosis session were compared. This showed that hypnosis had caused them to score more points in the following season[2].

What does a hypnotherapist do to help you win?

Okay, so hypnosis helps you improve your sports performance to win more games. But how does a hypnotherapist do that?

There are several techniques that a hypnotherapist can help you with. I will explain some of these techniques.

Progressive relaxation

As mentioned, you win the Tour de France in your bed. By resting. Some people are restless by nature, in which case hypnosis can help you find progressive relaxation. With a guided visualization, the hypnotist helps you gradually relax your body completely. This helps your recovery after a hard workout or race, allowing you to get back to it full force at the next race.

You can get an mp3 to take home to listen to, so you can enjoy this progressive relaxation at home as well.

Visualization of what you are doing

Another technique is visualizing what you are doing. For example, you visualize yourself making certain movements. A hypnotherapist can help you make this fantasy so realistic that you even feel it. This also gives you more muscle memory and this can trigger your actions during a match to do what you need to do to win.

You can take home a guided visualization of how everything goes when things are going well to practice this at home as well.

Hypnotic suggestions

In addition, you can get hypnotic suggestions before a sports game. In a Joe Rogan podcast, Mike Tyson, a world-renowned boxer, indicates that he used to be hypnotized before a match. This then gave him a big ego, which helped him.

He got this big ego with suggestions such as:

"You are a beast."

"You're going to fight."

"You fight with both hands."

"You are fierce."[3]

We've all seen the effect this has had on his games. For your sport and for you as an individual, you can get other suggestions that will help you win competitions.

At least with Mike Tyson, it helped, in addition to, of course, the training he had to take on the best boxers in the world in the ring.

Resolving blockages

Letting go of what happens outside the game can sometimes be very difficult. In that case, the hypnotist can help you solve more personal problems or have a trick to leave the personal problems behind once you are on the field.

For one particular baseball player, his performance suffered from guilt. By removing this and replacing it with aggression, he was able to get right back into the game and win[4].

He then felt inhibited by moments from his youth because "aggression" was a bad thing. This, of course, did not help.
