Surely we are all in hypnosis
We're all in hypnosis, we're fist-deep in it. You may be thinking, "Huh, hypnosis? I'm not in hypnosis. I'm awake. I see the world all clear'. Well, then you know you are in the middle of it, because there is nothing there at all. There is nothing outside your head. If you see things, see people walking, see people driving, or see people who 'think' something about something, which you then 'think' something about, then you are just in the middle of it.
If you were to go out of your mind to see what is really there, there are only electromagnetic fields. That's all there is. That you have made a whole scenario out of this is your hypnosis. It's really that simple. That's not to say it's easy. You can get confused by it, but that's okay. After all, for every "Aha!" moment there is always a "Huh? If you're in that then it's no big deal, at some point that Aha will come. You're just in the middle of it.
When it comes to hypnosis, the choice is vast, because you can think, do, and act however you want. It just depends on what you want, of course. Do you want to break free from hypnosis entirely? Or do you just want the kind of hypnosis that works best for you? I think—and this is my assumption—that most people want the hypnosis that works best for them. One where you simply do the things you enjoy, where you generally feel happiness and love, and where you’re surrounded by wonderful people. 80–90% of the time, things actually go just fine. Of course, you’ll always have to deal with things that don’t go well, like loss and grief. It would be good if you could minimize those moments to just a few percent of your life—just very occasionally. So that 99% of the time things go well, and 1% of the time, not so much. If you can do that, you’re in a pleasant state of hypnosis. You’re still in a state of hypnosis, but things are going better.
The hypnosis guru
You might say, "Every guru you know talks about a different kind of hypnosis that feels good. The gurus don't talk about "coming out of hypnosis. My blog is called Come out of Hypnosis, but really it should be called the Come into a Tasty Hypnosis. That's also what all the gurus preach: better awareness, unity, consciousness, love, peace on earth. It's all hypnosis.
Imagine you’re moving toward a higher state of consciousness—you enter “unity hypnosis.” That’s fine too; there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s actually nice—I’d like to go there myself. For me, it’s still the same as it used to be when I was on drugs. I was looking for the pill that would make me feel better. Now that pill is, for example, spirituality, personal growth, enjoying exercise, good nutrition, or whatever else. Don’t get me wrong—there’s nothing wrong with that. Why wouldn’t you strive for a better state of hypnosis for yourself? Why wouldn’t you strive to live your best life? This blog is part of that journey: How can I enter a better state of hypnosis? Make no mistake: it’s not “Come out of hypnosis.” “Come out of hypnosis” means dying. Generally speaking, people don’t want that. By “dying,” I mean: the death of your ego, your future, your past—everything you have right now.
Everyone has their own hypnosis
What I want to talk to you about is that we're all in hypnosis and it's totally fine. It's a hypnosis that people are in when they say, "I don't believe in hypnosis. It is a hypnosis when people believe that there are all forces at play that control the world. For those people it is the truth. Then, of course, you also have people who believe in the hypnosis of evolution. This of course clashes, one person says this, another says something else.
Watching a hypnosis show in which someone is hypnotized, the hypnotist may say, "From now on, you will see everyone in the room naked. The hypnotized person then sees that everyone in the room is naked. To him or her, this is the truth. Everyone around it knows it is not. This is how it works with all types of hypnosis, it is someone's truth, of which he already has the evidence to believe it. Your hypnosis is your truth. It is so for you, but not for the other person. That applies to everyone and goes infinitely far. Is that bad? No, not at all. If something doesn't work for you, know that it is therefore not the only truth.
It provides many opportunities, to think this way because there are an awful lot of possibilities. We keep inventing things: for example, first there was a universe, then we almost discovered it, and now there is a multiverse. Then we get all confused again. Now there are also many movies about the multiverse. You can live this life, of course, but you also have previous and next lives. You have parallel lives, you can travel in hypnosis, you can go to the 7 heavens. I read a book about this, which I thought was super interesting, and then I also started traveling with my guide. Well, that was my hypnosis then. Now I'm in this hypnosis and so I keep going from one hypnosis to another, which works well for me. So I want to say with this that you are not stuck.
Stuck in hypnosis
I see so many people stuck. For example , in their jobs, in their relationships, because “that’s just the way it is.” They keep living somewhere because “that’s just the way it is.” Then I think: you’re not a tree. A tree that stands rooted in one spot has no choice. Maybe there’s a dog that pees on that tree every day, but you don’t have to let anyone piss on you. You can leave. Now, that’s not easy, but it is possible. You can do that by changing your self-hypnosis, by changing your beliefs, by changing what you value. Especially those beliefs— your beliefs are almost the same as self-hypnosis. Take, for example, the belief “You have to stay together until death do you part”—that can work perfectly well for you if, of course, it’s enjoyable. I also want to stay with my wife until death do us part. I believe that now, I want that now, I think that now—that is my hypnosis right now. Why? Because there’s nothing I’d rather want.
Changing your hypnosis
Imagine this: your relationship isn’t working anymore, and you think, “Do I really have to stay in this until I die? Then I might as well die today.” Maybe it’s time to change that hypnosis—that belief. You don’t have to do it. You don’t have to stay with just one person either—you can do whatever you want. What works for one person might not work at all for another, but that’s often just in your head. It’s your idea of the world, but the world is your idea. So it’s actually the other way around: you can change that idea so that the world changes. It’s all just happening in your head, and that’s an opportunity. Of course, it can also be scary at times: “Is this the world I have in my head? That’s interesting,” and that, in turn, opens up possibilities.
Why I do hypnosis is because it's the fastest way to change anything. At least I think so, and I have tried many different things. Of course, there are many other things that work as well. Everybody finds some hypnotic thing in this world that suits them, for me it's hypnosis. I find that works well because in that hypnosis you can go back to the time when something originated, in my hypnotic past I can change something so that it is better now. Now I am experiencing that past and the future as well, there is nothing beyond that. So in the world you can change a lot, which benefits you. In this way you can improve your hypnosis. Then of course you are still not out of it, you are still not awake, you are just in another hypnosis. I personally like that.
I personally want out of hypnosis, I'm very honest about that. I'm working on that, but it's not that easy yet. When I get there, you'll hear about it. Until then, I do want to be in the most relaxed hypnosis I can imagine. Where I just have enough money, enough time, enough freedom, enough to do whatever I want. Then I want to organize that so that I have time to really get out of that. That's what I want. You may want something completely different. You may want to achieve a goal. You have something else you want to achieve, and you can then adjust your whole hypnosis to that.
How to do it. I would say: why not learn hypnosis yourself? So you can solve and achieve things on your own? Then you can shape the world around you making it more pleasant for you. I grant that to everyone. I also grant everyone their suffering, because I know that it sends you in a direction that makes things better in the end. I have also suffered enough, at least I think so. I certainly don't want to compare myself to other people, some people really do suffer extremely. You can't escape suffering either, but I do think you can keep it to a minimum. Most of it takes place in your head. If you can change it there, then it also changes in the world around you.
