Redemption: achieving your redemption with a different perspective

If you are not feeling well, sometimes something can happen that brings deliverance from that feeling. That redemption can cause you to go through life much lighter and enjoy yourself again

You may need deliverance from anything, but generally from unpleasant feelings such as depression, anxiety, anger, sadness, disappointment, regret or even guilt.

But how do you deliver yourself from that?

How do you get out of this personal hell?

This is also important because if you continue with negative thoughts for too long you will suffer from chronic stress and perhaps even burnout[1].

Your personal hell

If you feel stuck in a negative emotion or thought, it can feel like your personal hell.

Ridding yourself of this often creates personal growth. There are several ways to do this. For example, research shows that corona has caused post-traumatic stress for some people and they have used religion to deal with it (just to stay on the topic of hell). Women in Spain in particular dealt with it that way and saw themselves as more spiritual and personally grown afterwards[2].

Anyway, it's nice when you can rid yourself of such a negative emotion, because it means you have changed something in yourself that allows you to deal with it. Because of this, you have grown.

If guilt is hell, what is its opposite? It can be difficult to answer this question. You may have some hesitation, and it's not because of the question, but whether you believe guilt is hell.

If so, you can see right away how direct and simple this is. In this blog, I have an exercise that can help you rid yourself of negative thoughts. You may not need the exercise then. In a previous blog you have already learned more about your holiness and that this redeems you.

Exercise:

You can do this exercise in one day, with four five-minute practice periods. First, you repeat the idea:

"My holiness is my salvation."

Next, track your unloving thoughts. These can include fear, insecurity, uneasiness, depression, anger and so on.

Whatever form your unloving thoughts take, they are frightening because they are unloving. So they are what you need to be delivered from.

Specific situations, people or events that you associate with unloving thoughts are appropriate topics for this blog's exercise.

It is important for your salvation that you begin to see those events differently. That you give those events a different vision, that you see them differently.

Slowly examine your mind for any thought that stands between you and your salvation, without putting too much emphasis on any one thought.

Apply today's idea to every event:

"My unloving thought about ... keep me in hell. My holiness is my salvation."

This practice period can become easier if you hold shorter practice periods in between. In these, you just repeat today's idea to yourself a few times.

It can help you take short moments to just relax and not think about anything.

This can all be difficult at first, but it gets easier as you practice.

End each practice period by repeating the idea again, adding, "If guilt is hell, what's the opposite?"

Where does your negative thinking come from?

Now this exercise alone may not do that much for you. You understand that that one memory or situation you want to avoid at all costs is keeping you in hell, but how do you get out of hell? How do you make yourself feel holier or just better? How does this cause you to see the situation differently?

Therapy is at least one solution to negative thoughts[3], but what should it do?

That thought at least shows you something you think is wrong. It's injustice, it's not right and it even makes you feel bad.

The judgment you have then comes from somewhere. There is something on which you base what your judgment is. That something is your beliefs about how life works, how the world is supposed to function and how you can function in the world.

These beliefs often originate in your subconscious, when you are still a child. You are born as a kind of blank page, and in the first seven to eight years of your life, that page is filled with "this is how life works."

You actually never look back at that full sheet of paper. That just sits comfortably in your subconscious determining your feelings from day to day about what you are experiencing. It somewhat determines when you feel things are going well and it determines your feelings when you think things are not going well at all.

To let go of those loveless thoughts, it is important that you consciously pick up that full sheet of precepts. After all, you are an adult now and you know much more than you did when you were a small child.

It can be very difficult to do this on your own. A hypnotherapist can help you with this.

If you have a problem, such as that negative thought you keep holding on to, you can go to a hypnotherapist with this. Using a technique called regression, you can then be helped to determine at what point your subconscious came up with a particular rule about how the world apparently works.

Often you will come to an event from your childhood. It may be that one of your parents said something, you saw something, a teacher or peers did something and you determined at the time that it meant something.

By taking another look at that situation now as an adult, you can rewrite your rule of life. Sometimes it is enough to empathize with the people who were there at the time, and sometimes more is needed.

The hypnotherapist then has multiple techniques on hand to help you update your rule of life so that you suffer less from those unloving thoughts.

You may even feel that it was illogical that you were walking around with that thought.

Talk to someone close to you

Is it still too big a step for you to go to a hypnotherapist? Then talking to someone close to you can also do a lot. You can present your problem and vision to him/her, and then that person with the insights of his/her sheet of living rules can tell you how he/she sees it.

This can also already change your outlook on unloving thoughts tremendously and bring you to salvation.

Omdenken

Looking at your problem differently can also mean reversing the loveless thought. If this is difficult, this is also an activity a hypnotherapist can help you with.

A few examples:

"Nobody wants to help me."

Conversion thought: "I haven't found the person who can help me yet."

"I'm on my own."

Conversion thought: "I can ask for help."

"I can't say no."

Omden thought: "Saying no is important for my long-term health and employability."

These are just examples. You can also be given hypnotic suggestions following your session with the hypnotherapist that you can repeat at home to keep your redemption well established.

These may include suggestions such as:

"The future is not fixed."

"Everything can be figured out."

"I am good the way I am."

"People who love me accept me as I am."

These are just examples. Depending on your loveless thoughts, you may be given other suggestions.
