Why is hypnosis so effective

Hypnotherapy is one of the most effective modes of therapy. In the journal psychotherapy, after 3-year research, hypnotherapy emerged as the most effective therapy when compared with psychotherapy and behavioral therapy. The numbers speak for themselves

Hypnotherapy is highly effective

When you look at the numbers, hypnotherapy is highly effective. After a three-year study, psychotherapy magazine published the following figures:

  • Psychotherapy was successful in 38% of people after 600 sessions
  • Behavioral therapy was successful in 72% of people after 22 sessions (already a huge improvement and rightly so that psychotherapy is no longer reimbursed of course)
  • Hypnotherapy was successful in 93% of people after 6 sessions

You see with hypnotherapy you only need 6 sessions to have a result. And that's true for most people.

This makes perfect sense because most people are victims of an unconscious automatic program. There is nothing you can do about that because it was created somewhere. Your unconscious has a lot of unconscious automatic programs. About 99% of the time an unconscious automatic program is active in the foreground.

Because you read these letters (unconsciously), you probably sit (how do you do that? unconsciously...) and you do lots of other things throughout the day that you all do unconsciously.

That's great, of course, because it saves time. You are not a victim of those programs either because they help you do those things you love to do.

However, some programs are also active and those can work against you. These have originated somewhere in your life and, like the good programs, have become unconsciously automatic.

These programs became active for a reason (then). For example, you were in a car accident and have been afraid to drive a car ever since. Your unconscious then created a program to protect you from future accidents. Helpful? Not really, because now you are constantly afraid in a car and want to avoid it.

You have then become a victim of that program. There's nothing you can do about that, of course, and even if you talk 600 sessions about it, that program often remains untouched. What works well for your unconscious, continues to work well.

Hypnotherapy and your unconscious

However, when you go into hypnosis you make contact with your unconscious. You can then detect the program running in the background. And that is very valuable.

Indeed, when you track down that program and transform it into one you would like to have, you become an enabler of a new program that works better.

The other day I gave a demonstration during the hypnosis playshop to a man who had a fear of the dentist. We tracked down the program and it turned out he had wanted to do something he couldn't do at the time. He wanted to go away....

He found a way to "go away" in hypnosis and now the fear is gone immediately, too, because he can "go away" whenever he wants. What he discovered is that he could go into hypnosis during treatment so that the fear didn't have to be there. When he had learned that, he created a new program.

It's incredibly effective this. So many people suffer from unconscious automatic programs when they don't have to. In fact, you can become the enabler of new programs that work better and the best way to do that is to go into hypnosis. Of course, you can always make an appointment with us.
