Speaking truth: what happens if you don't?

The church has not been speaking the truth for years, with all the consequences. Churches are emptying, and why? They are not speaking the truth. This already shows a bit about speaking the truth.

Speaking the truth is important in multiple facets of life. For example, in what to think about how best to live (which is something the church would help you with), your health and in your social life. And many more places, but let's keep it organized.

How best to live your life is something you can think about differently, but in the end I don't think there really is a choice.

There is no choice

Everything is love. For me, everything is love. Some people say, "You have two choices, you can live out of fear, or live out of love. I say to that, 'No, there is only one choice and that is love, so there is no choice!' Because if you choose fear, you do it out of love for yourself.' Think about that... ;)

I was raised churchgoing. I sat obediently in church every week with my arms crossed. I was taught from the Bible and it always amazed me that the Old Testament and the New Testament are so different.

The Old Testament is about a God who punishes you and that you sacrifice your son, and it includes things like stabbing you with knives and more.

And in the New Testament, there is much more love. God is love. And Jesus was asked, "Can you summarize the ten laws of Moses?

To which Jesus said :'Yes I can, it's very simple. There are only two rules. 1. Love yourself and really love everything about yourself! Also that one side of which you now think I don't know if I like. And after that 2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. And then there is peace.' That's it!

Simple rules, but I was never taught these in church! No, but they were in that book. And now, I believe them to the core of my BEING. That's it. That's all it is.

Everything is love, you are love, you are light. And when you truly live, experience and be that fully, then comes the second step. Then you also see it in everyone around you.

I am enlightened

That's why it's so powerful to say, "I am enlightened.I am also enlightened! I am love, I am light. The beautiful thing is, then you also see that in people. Because you can only recognize in others what you recognize in yourself.

So, it's not a dickish affirmation, like "I am love, I am love, I am love." No, it gets you to focus on it and get you to see what's really important. And that is love. And love is the most important thing there is. The all-embracing power.

Anxiety

In the church they preach fear and fear is based on a lie, then people run away. That's why the church is doing so badly. When people are lied to, they leave. Now if they had preached the truth in the church saying, "God is love, you are God, you are love. If they had preached that with all those stories attached, it would have been bombastic and everyone would have been in church on Sunday. But it's not like that. Unfortunately for the church, but yes! It's no different...

Maybe start a church yourself! What do you think?

The effect of speaking the truth on your social life

In itself, what happened to the church is not very strange. After all, telling the truth is also good for your social relationships. You will get more approval from people around you. This is also why you teach children to tell the truth[1], because who wants to deal with a liar?

So how do you know if someone is lying? It's not always obvious, but research does show that people who lie say "eh" more briefly and less than people who tell the truth[2].

In the process, you are also less likely to lie to friends than to strangers[3]. So speaking the truth is important for your friendships and relationships.

Of course, this is also what you do when everything is love and especially when you want to put your friends in the light. This is also the light that shows the truth.

Your health and the truth

Do you want to know when you are dying or if there is that chance? Especially with cancer patients, in some cultures it is the case that doctors do not honestly tell you exactly how you are doing. This is also because your psyche has a lot of influence on how healthy you are and to what extent your body can resist the cancer.

Doctors, for example, are not completely honest, because they are afraid that you will get psychological morbidity. You won't even die from the cancer, for example, but from the thought of cancer.

Sometimes patients themselves prefer not to know at all, but just want to trust that the doctor knows what he/she is doing and that everything will be just fine[4].

Another time when you may not hear the whole truth is when the doctor does not tell you all about possible side effects, as this can cause a nocebo effect. Because you know you can get certain side effects, you get them. Whereas if you didn't know this, there would have been nothing wrong[5].

In that case, you get a lie-in.

Besides, telling the truth is not always best for your own life either. So if you have to tell the truth yourself. If you lie easily, it may even say something about your health. You may then suffer from a lesion in your brain[6].

Telling the truth

As mentioned, fear often causes you to lie. You also see that when doctors lie, they do so because of the fear that the truth will make you sicker than necessary. Ultimately, those doctors also do this out of love.

But so if you lie to benefit yourself you run the risk of social isolation. That's why it's so important to speak the truth. Then everyone immediately knows where they stand.

If you find it difficult to tell the truth yourself, it is important to examine your own fears that cause you to find it difficult to tell the truth.

Ultimately, it's scary to say something, but it's just as scary to remain silent.

To tell the truth more often, you can use psychotherapy[7], such as hypnotherapy.

For example, you can find out why you often lie and what fear is the basis for this. You can do this, for example, with regression. Then you can go back to the first moment when not speaking the truth became a kind of standard for you.

This is often a time in your childhood, because that is the period in your life when you determine how life works and how you function best in it. If lying used to work for you to get ahead in life, but no longer does, it's time to speak the truth.

By figuring out this moment, you can revisit it with your adult knowledge to change your beliefs that cause lying so that you choose to tell the truth instead.

You can also take away suggestions that you use to speak the truth more often such as:

"When I speak the truth, people know what they have to gain from me and I also see their reaction, which means I also know what I have to gain from them."

"A true friend tells the truth."

"Speaking the truth is better than saying nothing."

These are just examples. Depending on your beliefs that keep you from telling the truth, you may receive other suggestions better suited to your situation.

In addition, you can also receive a post-hypnotic suggestion that affects your behavior after treatment. That way, you will almost automatically start telling the truth more, and you will find that your life improves as a result.
