Learning structure for greater success in your life

Structure in your life is something everyone knows is important, but why really? From an early age you are taught structure in your life. This starts with regular food and bedtimes and continues throughout your school career. After that, you get to figure out how to do structure all by yourself.

Now you may be thinking that structure is especially important for the business side of life. However, that's not true. You have also learned all kinds of structures at home that determine your daily habits. What you do in your personal life also has a lot of influence on how successful you are, whether it is in private or in business

What do you want?

More structure for greater success. So the first question is: what kind of success do you actually want to achieve? Do you want to earn more money? Do you want to develop a specific talent? Do you want to bring out a certain personality trait? Do you want a loving relationship?

First determine what success is for you and then you can take the next steps.

Structure and make money

You need a fairly simple structure to be able to earn money. For example, if you’re a salaried employee, it’s important to get enough sleep to get through your 8-hour workday and stay focused while working.

In addition, it’s important to keep your body healthy, so in addition to that structure for work, it should also include time for physical activity and eating a healthy diet.

That's the basics, but what structure do you need to make real money and be (very) successful with it?

This is, for example, a challenge that entrepreneurs face because they are completely free to decide how to manage their time. However, this does provide the flexibility to experiment with the structure that works best for you to achieve success.

For example, a moment of meditation is something that all working people benefit from because it reduces stress. Some people also always have a notebook handy to jot down ideas.

Research shows, for example, that entrepreneurs who get enough sleep, interact with people who are different from them (engaging in productive discussions that lead to greater insights), and reflect on their business challenges outside of work hours are more creative than entrepreneurs who lack these elements[1].

Structure and love

Love, it seems so simple, but if you don't know the right structure it is incredibly difficult to have a loving relationship. For example, you learn from your parents' relationship how an adult relationship works. If your parents gave each other a hug every day, and you saw that, chances are you will do the same with your partner. Even the way your parents treated you largely determines how you treat your family[2].

Is the structure always that you come home to say hello to each other, give a hug (with a kiss) and ask how the day was and have a quick chat? Then chances are you can have a loving relationship.

However, haven't you had that structure. But for example, parents who walked right past you (and each other) and actually a hug was a really special moment instead of normal? Then it can be harder to have a loving relationship.

Of course, there is more to a loving relationship, but a good daily structure to show your love does wonders for the longevity of a relationship.

Structure and a desired trait

Sometimes you just want to strengthen a character trait. Like being athletic, social, attentive to people or helpful. Then consider what you can tell that someone has such a trait. What behaviors are important then? Then see how you can make this a daily ritual where you can show that behavior to those around you.

A desired character trait is ultimately about forming your desired identity. Research on refugees from North Korea shows that they studied South Korean culture in order to better fit into the image of South Korea and gain a South Korean identity. To do this, they studied the culture, through television, for example, determined strategies to demonstrate this behavior themselves and were ultimately able to better control a social interaction[3].

One character trait North Koreans had to develop was competitive spirit. This may sound very normal to us, but in North Korea there is a communist system and then you are assigned a job (regardless of whether you like it) and thus you do not have to actively look for a job and "compete" for it in an application process.

Finding Successful People

There are multiple ways to learn new structures for success. One is to be inspired by successful people. Do you have idols who are already doing what you want to be successful at?

Then immerse yourself in those people. Read their biography, which often includes stories about how they tackled something to be so successful. Watch interviews and videos where they talk more about what you want to become successful in, and find out their successful structure that way.

You may even be able to call them for a personal consultation.

Learning new structures with coaching

In addition, you can also get help from a coach. A coach provides tips and advice on how to live your life. Sometimes, a coach primarily serves as a catalyst to help you reflect on how you want to shape your life.

Then if your coach can hypnosis too you come all the way.

Learning new structures with hypnosis

In addition, hypnosis can also be very helpful in learning new successful structures that you can apply on a daily basis. Ultimately, many moments in a structure are a kind of ritual. You already have daily rituals, maybe you just need to adapt them and you're already there.

Unhealthy rituals, such as coming home cranky and therefore not having a good relationship, can be easily changed with hypnosis. Under hypnosis, the ritual is then often played back in your head in a different way with a guided visualization. This causes you to find your automatic ritual no longer logical at all. This "breaks" you from the ritual, so to speak.

Then a new ritual can be installed with another guided visualization. In that visualization, you are encouraged in seeing how you are doing something successfully. Everything is going well and even any stresses that such a moment may bring you can handle during the visualization. This can go in the following way in the case of having a successful relationship:

"You finished your work. It was a hard day and actually you're kind of balking at it. Still, you try to put on a good mood for your partner. To still give this day a good twist, you buy a rose (or a bunch of flowers or chocolates) on the way home. You come home greet your partner and give him/her the gift. When he says thank you and possibly to what do I owe this, you can say something about your bad day and that you want to make it up to him this way. You give another hug and continue your evening together with your partner."

This is just an example of a guided visualization. Depending on your beliefs and your structure you want to learn, you can get a different guided visualization or even other hypnosis techniques to measure a successful daily structure.
