This may look a bit odd, but saying "I want to see" is also a bit of a sign that you don't see right now. Maybe you just need glasses, but maybe this is also a slogan for improving your life.
If you see the world now as a not nice place you can say you want to see a nicer or better world
Focus and what you see
Much of what you see also depends on what you focus on. In fact, you are bombarded with information all day long. This is also where the slogan "You can't see the forest for the trees" comes from. What that slogan actually says is that in some circumstances you see trees and in other circumstances you see a forest, and what you see depends on your focus.
Usually focus on aspects that are most important to you at the time. If you are running hard from danger you see the trees you don't want to run into. Whereas if you are just walking you might actually see the beautiful forest.
Recognizing things from memory is also important for your focus[1].
Do you see problems or you see solutions?
Another problem many people face is seeing bears on the road. You have a certain goal, but this goal seems unattainable because there are so many potential problems to overcome.
What you then often do is plan for problems in advance rather than seeing if something will happen or not. In that case, it is more convenient to focus on seeing opportunities rather than problems.
You can then see the solutions, so to speak, that will help you achieve your goals.
Your focus and your past
How you see things and give meaning to certain objects, situations and people often depends on experiences you have had with them in your past.
When you dislike someone it is often because of the behavior that person has shown in the past. This can sometimes make you so angry that you find it difficult to give that person a second chance, even though they may have developed and changed themselves.
It's hard to look at people, objects and situations like that with a clean slate.
You see what you want to see
At the same time, you often see what you want to see. If you see a lot of problems it is often because you are looking for problems.
Just think if you want to find a four-leaf clover in a patch of grass, you will succeed. You can also often find a stone in the shape of a heart in a place with many stones.
This is called motivated perception by psychologists. For example, it was once studied whether people see the letter B or the number 13, depending on the desired outcome. Namely, if you see the letter B then you may drink orange juice, but if you see the number 13 then you should drink a smoothie that is brown and does not smell good.
Then suddenly people saw the letter B in particular.
This bias is often seen in soccer as well. For example, you may find that the team you don't support gets away with fouls much more often than the team you do.
There are actually two things that are tested, namely what you actually see, which can be influenced by something you want to achieve or by your motivation.
And something you say you see. In that case, you are mainly indicating to see what you would like to see.
You have certain neurons that determine whether you see a face or just some kind of image of nature or something, a scene. Research shows that what you see can be manipulated by linking a certain reward to a certain image.
If you have certain goals and certain things that motivate you to do something it can give you a kind of positive bias, that you see that you achieve your goals faster, for example.
This also explains why some people see or interpret things incredibly differently than you do. After all, they've had very different lives, and their goals and motivations for seeing the world a certain way are very different from yours.

Help with seeing what you want to see
Sometimes such a task is easier said than done. So how do you make sure you see what you want to see? That's something you can get help with.
For example, if you find that you are stuck in a negative view of things or people, a hypnotherapist can help you remove that block.
The therapist will then look at the beliefs you have about the world, how it works and how you can function in it. This gives the therapist an entry point to check with you to make sure those beliefs are correct and logical.
Sometimes it is enough to ridicule a belief that is not logical. This can be done, for example, by repeating an unhelpful belief in a weird voice while holding your finger to your nose and jumping around.
Doing this as separately as possible will eventually make you laugh, which can help make the conviction less powerful.
Changing your memory
In other cases, it may actually be more helpful to find out when a particular outlook began in life. The hypnotherapist then uses regression. You then go back to the first moment when you felt in a way that now causes an obstructive view of certain facets of your life.
Next, you start doing something with that moment in your mind. For example, you can reinterpret it with the knowledge you have now, but probably didn't have then. You can change it in your imagination. You can give your adult self a role in the situation.
All this can change the memory and linkages to that moment, at once changing the way you look at the problem and allowing you to look at things more positively, making it easier to see what you want to see.
Focusing on the future
A more advanced technique for seeing what you want to see is to get help setting your goals and how to achieve them. In this case, you are not going to look to the past, but rather to the future. The hypnotherapist then helps you visualize, for example, what your life will be like in a year and how you will get to that point in your life.
This allows your focus to focus more on the steps you want to take and makes it easier to see opportunities and solutions.
This can also help you move forward with your life if you feel stuck right now.
This can help you see what you want to see.
