Dizziness is something that can happen to anyone. You get up once too soon and you already start to falter. However, if you suffer from dizziness every day, then there may be a problem. In some cases, hypnosis can help you against dizziness. Read how here.
Dizzy, what to do?
Before going to a hypnosis expert when you are frequently dizzy, it is important to make an appointment with your doctor. This is because prolonged dizziness or dizziness that keeps recurring can also be a symptom of a neurological disease or something else.
Therefore, always see a doctor first to eliminate physical causes for dizziness before going to a hypnosis expert to resolve it.
Dizziness causes
If you then go to a hypnosis expert, it is helpful to know why you are dizzy. Sometimes you can easily pinpoint this and sometimes you will work with the hypnosis expert to investigate the cause of your dizziness.
Known causes of dizziness are:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Reduced blood pressure
- Blood iron levels too low (eat more meat)
- Dehydration symptoms (dizziness after hours of exercise?)
- Low blood sugar
- Ear Disorder
- Middle ear infection
- Panic
- Sunburn
- Body temperature too low
- Fever
- Whiplash
- Caffeine overdose(addicted to coffee?).
- Pregnancy
- Anorexia
- Carbon monoxide poisoning (leaving gas on?).
- Post Traumatic Stress
- Post-concussion syndrome
- Endometriosis
- MS
- Alcohol poisoning
As you can see, there are many causes with a medical solution and causes with a solution in which hypnosis can play a role.
Dizzy from your diet
Your diet can play a role in dizziness because, for example, vegans or vegetarians have relatively less iron in their diet if extra attention is not paid. Or if you have anorexia and are totally off food, hypnosis can help change your beliefs about food.
There are simple and not so simple ways to change beliefs about nutrition. For example, if you are simply opposed to taking pills or even supplements, repeating hypnotic suggestions can get you pretty far by using iron supplements to make your iron deficiency smaller and thus suffer less dizziness.
Or depending on why you don't eat meat, you can start eating meat from animals you know have been pampered during their lives and slaughtered in the most animal-friendly way possible. Usually you then pick up the meat directly from the farmer himself.
In cases like this, you repeat daily suggestions to yourself during self-hypnosis to make it more acceptable to eat meat or supplements. First, you sit or lie down in a relaxed and quiet place. You focus on your breathing, relax your muscles and close your eyes. Then you repeat aloud the suggestions given to you by your hypnosis expert.
These may include suggestions such as:
"Supplements are an addition to a healthy diet."
"Nutrition is the gasoline of my body."
"I need to eat at least functionally."
"I get to enjoy food."
These are just examples of hypnotic suggestions. Depending on your beliefs about nutrition, you may get other suggestions from your hypnosis expert. With anorexia, this is entirely likely because that disease often does not even have that much to do with nutrition, which is more of a symptom of the problem.
Dizzy due to stress
In general, anxiety and stress play an important role in dizziness. Stress can have many causes such as trauma or beliefs that create stress when it makes no sense at all.
In the case of trauma, it is important to process it so that you suffer as little as possible.
In the case of stress caused by beliefs, it is important to know what is causing you stress. For example, many people find it difficult to say "no" at work
In the event that you are actually very stressed, hypnosis can also help as hypnosis is often combined with relaxation techniques and pleasant visualizations that help reduce stress.
To know which visualizations work for you, the hypnosis expert will ask you about a place where you can completely relax. This can be a place you have been to before in your life, such as at the beach or in the woods by a babbling brook or a place that exists mostly in your imagination, such as floating on a cloud.
That place is then used for a guided visualization where you can completely unwind to relax. This can include the use of other symbols that create tranquility in you.
A guided visualization can go as follows:
"You lie bathing in the lovely warm salty water of the Dead Sea. You float on the water and have to make absolutely no effort to do so. You feel how the salt cleans your skin completely and how the warmth of the sun helps you relax your muscles. Because you are floating away so nicely and not sinking to the bottom, you close your eyes and relax your muscles. A small current in the water provides an extra massage to all the tense spots in your body allowing you to relax again. It is nice and soothing. All your dizzy feelings and tensions flow off you and are nullified by the salt in the dead sea. You feel clean and refreshed. Free of worries and negative stimuli."
These types of visualizations can also be provided to you on an mp3 so that you can also take advantage of this relaxation at home to lower your stress levels and thus reduce dizziness.
Depending on what you find relaxing, you may get a different form of a guided visualization.
In addition, like dizziness due to lack of nutrition, you can also receive hypnotic suggestions that reduce your stress when repeated daily during self-hypnosis. To do this, stress-inducing beliefs you have are first identified. This can be done with a Socratic conversation. In such a conversation, the why question is repeated several times to get to your deepest beliefs. With that information, the hypnosis expert can give you suggestions that will reduce stress, and that effect can be enhanced when you can listen back to the suggestions during self-hypnosis at home.
Suggestions then might include:
"People appreciate it more when you admit you're wrong than when you're quick to try to cover it up."
"I am valued at my work."
"I get to say no and give alternatives when I don't have time for something."
"I get to take the time to think about something before I do anything," he said.
Depending on your beliefs, you can take other suggestions from your hypnosis expert to suffer less dizziness from stress.
What if the trigger for being dizzy is unknown?
Perhaps you haven't yet found the answer to why you get dizzy. If so, the cause may lie in your subconscious. If a normal object or situation causes you to get dizzy, it may feel as if it came out of nowhere. Then regression can help you figure out if something "normal" subconsciously is causing a lot of stress anyway.
Sometimes a childhood event can cause stress at a much later point in your life because something reminds you of what you found incredibly stressful at the time as a child. With regression, you go back to a moment that had a lot of influence on your subconscious and created unhelpful beliefs that are now causing stress.
By finding out the cause, you can already do a lot to eliminate stress. You can then more easily remove and disconnect the trigger for stress that causes dizziness.
So there are an awful lot of causes for dizziness. This is why it is important to first see a doctor if you have prolonged dizziness or that dizziness keeps recurring to rule out a physical or neurological cause of the dizziness.
Is it not because of your body or neurological problems? Then you can contact a hypnosis expert because stress is then often the culprit. A hypnosis expert can then help you find the cause of the stress and work through it to make the dizziness go away.
