Did you know that you pass on your traumas?
One Wednesday night she sat across from me and told me she was scared. 'Scared? Of what?
'Ed, I think the same thing is going to happen to my daughter that happened to me when I was 14 years old. I was abused by a group of boys then. It was horrible...'
Her daughter hung out with a group of boys who resembled the boys of old. Predators looking for prey. She recognized them, but there wasn't much she could do. Her daughter had met with those boys on Friday.
She knew what would happen next. She felt it in everything.
'I don't want this trauma to be passed on. You have to help me'
She had read Peter Levine's book, "The Tiger Awakens. That book states that traumas are passed on. I, too, had seen this several times in my practice and in my own life.
We got down to business. It was an intense session in which she was able to truly release the trauma once and for all.
Thursday I was in the car and heard on the ANP that a group of boys from her village had been arrested. It was a gang that abused girls. Those were the guys.
So the appointment was off on Friday....
Coincidence? Not really. Those boys probably would have been picked up, but if that session hadn't happened, it wouldn't have happened until later. Then the trauma could have been passed on.
Here's how it works.
You don't have to believe it, then you won't see it. When you do believe it, you do see it, and you also suddenly see how much influence you have on not only your own life, but that of generations after you and even before you.
Please be aware of this, because your children (and even parents) can start to feel a lot better when you clean up your past and patterns.
