My son who went to intern with groups 1 and 2, formerly kindergarten. He is not that big for his 14 years, but you are the master immediately.
And that does something to a guy like that. The status you are assigned by those kids is practically the same status they have with the teacher they have. So with every problem they come to you.
Crying, a little boy came to him at one point. He really had a big problem
'Master, my cookie was opened by my boyfriend. And I wanted to open it myself...'
Crying, crying, crying. Thick tears because his cookie had already been opened.
My son said to us in the evening, "That's weird, what difference does it make that your cookie has already been opened...
And then he had an insight of his own: "For that kid at that age, that's the biggest problem there is at that time. For me, the biggest problem is that I'm not allowed to play games... But pap that's not it for you...'
'No I could game all day if I wanted to, that's definitely not my biggest problem right now'
'Actually, our problems are exactly the same as that little boy. It's a cookie opened by a boyfriend...'
We thought about that and it's true.
The problems you experience now will be irrelevant in twenty years. Probably a year from now, but certainly in twenty years. And when you're eighty you'll look at the problems you had when you were 40 like looking at a toddler with his opened cookie.
For that toddler at the time, it's the biggest problem there is. There is nothing bigger. For you, it is the problem you are experiencing right now.
Of course you think it's of a whole different category than a cookie. If only it were a cookie Ed, it would be a lot easier! True, but if you were a toddler, you most likely would not have had this problem you are experiencing now. Then you would be crying to the master with your cookie.
And now you may be crying again with an opened cookie. At least that's how you'll feel 20 years from now. The cookie can't be closed anymore either, it's already open.
But then again, it's just a cookie right?
