You don't have it you do it

Years ago I was suffering from an accelerated thyroid. They had noticed that in my blood so I went to the internist. He gave me three options.

'The first option Mr. Selij with an accelerated thyroid, is to take out the thyroid completely. In your case that is not necessary, but it is an option...'

"Isn't that one necessary?", I wondered.

'Of course you do. Everything in your body is needed.'

'But, why are you taking it out?'

"If something doesn't work, you can take it out," he said, "so what?

'Medicine... ' 'Ok... and the second option doctor?'

'The second option is radioactive iodine. This is not harmful, mind you. The iodine goes to the thyroid gland. Because it's radioactive, the thyroid breaks down and the rest you just urinate out. ' 'And after that?' ' Then you get medicine.'

"And the third option doctor?

'Medicine'

'Ok doctor, I've heard the options. I'm going to look further into other options.'

'Um that's just not possible Mr. Selij.' 'Yes you can, I have nothing on my legs, so I can walk away just fine right now.' 'Ok, but do have your blood measured again after three months because we have to keep an eye on this.

'Prima.'

One of the principles from my book Break Free is, "You don't have it, you do it" I don't have an accelerated thyroid, I do it, I do something that makes it speed up. No idea what it is but you can look at it four ways.

  1. Physical
  2. Emotional
  3. Mental
  4. Spiritual

And I've only figured out what's going on physically. In fact, I haven't changed anything about my diet or my exercise regimen. So I don't even know if that can have an effect.

Is there still emotional trauma? What do I believe about my thyroid gland? Where is that thyroid and what does that place mean? Why not my knee, for example? All questions worth exploring first.

I never expressed my deepest emotions. There was also a huge fear of death that I didn't express. I did. I resolved that and then I no longer had those hunted feelings.

After three months, I had to have another blood test and there was nothing wrong.

'Incredible, Mr. Selij. It's all right again.'

"Right doctor, do you want to know what I did?" " I already know," the doctor said.

"Seriously?" " Yes, you are part of the two percent laboratory abnormality. That happens sometimes. So if you have something like that again you just say you are an abnormality and then you don't have to come...'

'Ok...'

Smiling, we said our goodbyes and to this day I feel fine. Because I made the shift that I didn't have something but that I was doing something, opportunities came naturally.

Reclaim your power by saying "I do" and don't subtly shrug it off by saying "I got it. By doing the latter you are maneuvering yourself into a victim role. Don't, you can do so much more.

Claim your personal power and do it! 👊
