Forgetting and Creating Amnesia
Forgetting and amnesia
Forgetting is a very natural phenomenon. It's also good that you don't remember everything, otherwise you'll have way too much information in your head and you'll go crazy. You probably don't remember how you learned to walk or what you were wearing at the time. All information that you have forgotten and is not that important at all. You can also "lose" your car key or not get to that one number. You then forgot for a while and often that information comes up later.
Amnesia often occurs after a brain injury. You then don't remember certain things you should, such as your children's names or where you live. You have forgotten and this is known as amnesia. It can also happen that you can no longer store new information.
So there is quite a difference but with an important common ground. You can no longer reach something you should be able to reach. A very interesting phenomenon that we also work with in hypnosis. Namely, when someone can forget something, he is in a certain state of hypnosis where anesthesia is easy to obtain.
With certain actions you can get someone to forget all the numbers, for example. When you achieve that in a person then he is in such a state of hypnosis that you easily and easily take suggestions. Your work as a hypnotherapist then also becomes easier because you can work much more directly. With short direct suggestions you then make rapid change.
Take advantage and use the state of amnesia to give yourself and others good suggestions.
