The myth about hypnosis

Hypnosis is an everyday activity for everyone. Yet everyone doesn't think so. That's because most have a different conception of it. When they hear the word hypnosis, they see stage hypnosis and feel as if they are giving away all control. Nothing could be further from the truth

Myth about hypnosis

There are 5 myths I want to discuss briefly:

1. You lose control

Not true. Do you now have control over your blood pressure? Pain? Emotions? Maybe you do, but probably not. With hypnosis, you can influence that. You can then influence processes that are beyond consciousness. You can then influence all unconscious processes and that is very valuable. You get more control.

2. It's a sleeping state

Hypnosis is a supreme form of concentration. It enables you to focus better, get into a flow, and you can solve problems more easily. In fact, you become more alert, sharper and more present. You hear everything and see more sharply. You can better feel what is happening and when you sleep you don't have that control. So you are definitely not sleeping.

3. I start doing things against my will

You can't. A lot can be done but it can 't. The people you see on stage are people who have been carefully selected and want to be. It's the same way on TV. Only 10% of people can go that deep though you can train it.

If it were really possible that things could be done against one's will then prisons would be empty. Think about that. If the hypnotist could really make people do things they didn't want to they would have long since taken over. You could then put the biggest criminal under hypnosis and make good. So you can't and you can't.

4. Not everyone can be hypnotized

Trance is a natural phenomenon. For example, if you can't go into trance while running, you have a problem. Then it will be hell. People who do go into a trance, on the other hand, love it. Have you ever watched people in an elevator? Or that you suddenly miss a whole section while driving? Those are trance symptoms and are normal. The question is actually "What trance are you in right now..." So everyone can be put into hypnosis, only the depth differs.

5. It's dangerous

All the myths about hypnosis make people think all sorts of things. Hypnosis is natural, harmless and wonderfully relaxing. If you can do it well then you can create a lot of harmony within yourself. That's not dangerous, that's super.

Hypnosis

So there are many misconceptions about hypnosis. To clear up those misconceptions once and for all, Tieds.co.uk organizes several training courses. In these, you will soon put an end to the mystique and learn to work with the power of hypnosis.

Anyone who still has a strange idea about hypnosis, send them here. Then they can read what it really is. That way they can start experiencing the power for what it really is.

So send your friends and acquaintances from your network of Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin to this article if you found it valuable. You can do so by using the buttons at the bottom of this post.

[...] One thing I know 100%. Every hypnotherapist I train certainly doesn't do that kind of thing, and I trust that no hypnotherapist takes that to task. The funny thing is, they can't even do it if you don't want them to. After all, you always have control in hypnosis. [...]
