Showing yourself: Let's hear some of your talent

Showing yourself can be done literally, but also more figuratively. You can also showcase your talent, such as by writing a blog.

When you write a blog or record a podcast, you don't really know who is going to read it or why he is reading it. In what capacity he reads it or hears it. Then sometimes I get responses to offers, for example, that I send via email

For example, I received an email from an 80-year-old, who obviously did not want to start hypnosis, but who was very grateful for my emails and enjoyed them. Who had begun to see things differently just because of it, which made her feel happier.

This could have been my grandmother, that's just crazy when you get an email like that.

But I share this to say to you that it's okay to do what you have to do. Just do it, because you never know how much of a difference you will make in the lives of others. You never know how far that change reaches.

This blog may be read by someone that causes a button to flip and they think, "I'm just going to do it."

Maybe you type a blog you don't know if you dare and just throw it out there. Maybe five people read the blog, but it's all about the one you helped. That one who helps you take that step.

Then maybe you were just that little or big push that person needed.

Therefore, you should never hold back in this.

It is also a creative outlet for me; it needs to get out with me too. There's a reason for that, too.

It's such a shame when people shut up. Or don't paint a picture, or do but don't show it.

Why was that talent given to you when you don't share it, when you don't show it? Then what did you gain from the talent?

Showing yourself doubles your talent

When you share your talent, you double it.

There is also a great story about this in the Bible. There is a king and he goes away. He gives his servants talents. Then he says that when he comes back he wants those talents back.

People start doing something with their talents and they double the talents. With ups and downs, though, but it works.

Then there is one more person who buries the talents.

The king returns and wants his talents back. He asks how it went, is shocked when people say they almost lost the talents, but is pleased when he hears that the talents doubled. Even better, those people get to keep the talents.

The people who went out were allowed to keep their talents.

The person who had buried the talent did not get to keep the talent.

For he who has more will be given more, and he who has nothing will be taken away from everything. That's in Matthew for those who find that interesting. Where does he get it from huh?

You get the gist, if you do nothing and you don't practice your piano playing, at some point you won't be able to play the piano.

If you don't practice painting, it won't get better.

If you do share correctly, your talent will double. So show your talent, and it will grow.

That's why it's such a shame to see people not doing that. That people don't go to that workshop, that they don't go to the seminar, that they don't go to the bingo night, that they don't release the book, that they don't approach that one person. Whatever it is you actually want to do, start now as you wait for a sign.

Everyone has a voice and everyone can make it heard in their own way.

Imagine if everyone were doing what they love and are good at. Maybe then everything would suddenly be balanced.

If everyone does what they were born to do, I think it's more true than not doing it.

For example, you can have an exhibition with your paintings, even though you find it scary. You will find that people will be moved by your paintings. In a positive or a negative way. Actually, that's really cool.

Sometimes I also send an email and I just get angry responses. That's great because at least then it hits them. Then they say they don't want this anymore. In that case, I was the guardrail that they don't want something exactly.

I'm also definitely not something for everyone.

And neither can you.

Neither does the toko here on the corner.

I was just talking about this with a coachee. To name all comedians. You then notice that all comedians have a different sound. For example, Jochem Meijer's audience doesn't go as well on Hans Teeuwen and vice versa.

You also have many people imitating someone else, but finding your own sound ensures that you grab your position immediately.

If more people did, more people would be inspired.

Showing yourself brings more

In today's society, talent is also something that gives you more to show for it. Of course, not everyone is born with the same talent.

But researchers indicate that talent is now what land was in medieval times. A potential source of symbolic and economic reward[1]. You see this, for example, in the wealth that actors and artists can now achieve. Researchers even go so far as to link everyday inequality to whether or not you show your talent or whether or not you have a talent.

But of course, so can people who are talented in business.

You are now much less dependent on your family, as you used to be, and you can achieve much more on your own. As long as you embrace your talents and dare to show yourself.

The potential is that it just pays you more than just the fun.

You don't have to start a business right away to showcase your talent. In fact, for businesses, finding and developing talent is also important for growth[2][3]. So if you enjoy salaried employment, it is important to find such a company that values and encourages your talents.

Showing yourself when something is blocking you

Of course, it can be very exciting to express your talent and something may be blocking you from doing so. You're thinking yes, but your body (and therefore you) is doing no.

That's very awkward, so how do you break that mental block to do what you love and what you can develop into a fine talent?

Many performers have a fear of stage fright, which prevents them from becoming a big star. It is already known that hypnotherapy can help overcome that fear of the stage[4].

In this case, rational emotion therapy is used while in hypnosis. It is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that addresses illogical thoughts.

Just like an artist, you also need to take the stage in your field. The Internet stage if you're going to blog or the floor if you want to share an idea during a meeting, which shows off your creative talent.

So not doing this can be prevented by awkward thoughts. With hypnotherapy, you figure out where those thoughts are coming from or use techniques to simply eliminate the thoughts and replace them with helpful ones.

Depending on your problem and where those awkward thoughts are coming from, a simple technique can be used. For example, the SWISH technique, where you pair positive feelings with doing something you know you should do but haven't yet. So that you start doing it unconsciously.

Still, is it a little trickier than that? Then regression can also be used. With regression, you find out where a blocking belief is coming from. You go back to that moment and then you revisit this moment with your current knowledge about life and the world.

Sometimes this is enough to make the conviction go away. Sometimes you just need to do something more with that moment, such as empathize with other people who were also there at that moment or visualize your present you talking to your past you that all will be well.
