Shameless Seduction

Reclames zitten er vol mee. Waarmee? Met schaamteloze verleidingen. Daar weten ze allang hoe het werkt. Veel ondernemers passen het echter nog lang niet genoeg toe. Daarom wat trucs om schaamteloos de klant te verleiden..

The science of seduction

There are a number of psychological points you can use to seduce. These are:

  1. Reciprocity
  2. Commitment & Consistency
  3. Social affirmation
  4. Sympathy
  5. Authority
  6. Scarcity

Point 1: Reciprocity

Give something away for free. The recipient then feels obligated to give something back. The Hare Krishna got so rich by giving a rose as a gift. Then they asked for a gift. All their temples have been funded that way.

You can put it to good use this principle in lots of ways. I too do this by giving away a free training. In return, I ask for your email address and name. That way I can send you more valuable information afterwards. That too works following this principle.

In the pub, of course, this happens too. A man buys a drink for a woman in the hope that it will make her give something back. Of course it is not a panacea but it is a strong principle.

Point 2: Commitment and Consistency.

You like to do what you say, right? So if you commit to something, you want to keep doing it. You want to stay consistent, and that's a principle you can use.

When you ask someone something and the person does it, you can ask for something more next time and chances are the person will do it. So you have to try to get people on board step by step by starting small.

Item 3: Social Attachment

People are like sheep. Yes, including me. If I drive past two restaurants and one is almost completely full and the other has no one sitting I (like most people) choose the almost full restaurant.

On my site you can also see it through the facebook Like button (just press it please ;-)). This also creates social proof, because the more people like this article, the faster people will like it.

Just imagine how you could use this principle....

Item 4: Sympathy

Sympathy is often with people who:

  • Looking like you
  • Attractive are
  • Giving you compliments

People who are similar to you you feel some kind of connection with. For example, you might have the same background, be in the same "group," or have the same car. You have a kind of sympathy with that.

So you want to be a likable person. With that, you'll seduce the other person a lot faster. Take advantage of it! Dress well, smell good and give compliments more often. Then you will become a super leader.

Item 5: Authority

Authority you have with people who:

  • Being an expert
  • Being independent
  • Rank higher

But also with people who act selflessly to be of service to you. On my site, you'll also see that I have my television appearance on it. Then people know they are dealing with an expert. As an enticer, you want to be seen as an authority in your field.

Item 6: Scarcity

When a product is almost out of stock then it becomes scarce. It then becomes more interesting for most people to purchase it. You also see it when an artist dies, for example. There is then a run on his or her records. Collector's items are also worth more then.

When there are only a few seats left in a training with me, I notify you. I then use the principle of scarcity. Only if it is true, of course.

These points come from Cialdini’s fantastic book *Influence*
by Cialdini, which you see pictured here.

Die kan je bestellen wanneer je op dat boek klikt. Je komt dan op managementboek terecht.

I wonder how you use these points in your life as a seducer. We all seduce people from time to time. Our children, parents, colleagues, partner, wives, husbands, etcetera.

What items are you already using? Post it below. I'm very curious.... Please share this article with your network and press the buttons below now so that point 3 is put to good use ;-) Thanx!
