Regression therapy makes no sense at all

Does regression therapy actually have its uses? Does insight lead to change? These are interesting questions and the answer may already be obvious to you, but I'll back it up a bit.

Regression Therapy

Regression literally means going back and is often mentioned in the same breath as hypnotherapy. Yet there are some differences in this apparently because there are different courses in it.

Regression therapy is also found in NLP, although there they call it "Time Line Therapy" or simply "working with timelines. It's practically the same thing, it just has a different name. What does make NLP different from "normal" regression is that it works with a goal.

When regression therapy is used only to experience it again, it misses the mark. Was experiencing it once not bad enough? Does it have to happen again? Yes, says the therapist, because through insight you get change....

Well, that comment misses the point because insight, by definition, does not bring about change. It can, but then the client does more than just gain insight. For example, he changes the content himself by looking at it differently. Only then something changes.

Normal regression therapy is often not helpful either, because the hypnotic state is not very deep. The therapist only knows some visualizations, but does not employ the hypnotic tests such as eye-lock, levitation, amnesia or having a hand stuck. The reason why they don't do that is because they don't dare ... Well ... Then how do you know if someone is in hypnosis....

Regression Therapy 2.0 - SVR

Hence, we also do a new form of regression. It is a system where the client is first put into deep hypnosis and then we start looking for the cause. Somewhere the unconscious program has been created and it is good to track that down and change it.

For example, if you are afraid of an elevator, chances are you have been trapped once and are now afraid to go into small spaces. We track that situation in hypnosis and transform it so that the unconscious automatic program is no longer there.

After all, if you suffer from anxiety in small spaces, for example, you can think what you want, rationalize what you want, but when the unconscious program becomes active and the emotions join in, it's done. The fear is there again in all its intensity. The thinking stops, the ratio is paralyzed and the emotion takes over.

With SVR (systemic voice regression), we can restore you to self-sufficiency. It is a method that evolved from systemic work, voice dialogue, regression and has a specific number of questions that the therapist asks. This method works very effectively and causes something fundamental to change. It is not putting a Band-Aid on a wound, but really healing the wound so that it can never come back.

The unconscious automatic program created somewhere to protect you from small spaces, for example, now has no function. It may go away. However, it is important to find out where it is otherwise the wound may continue to fester and another symptom may set in and you don't want that.

Once the program is found and transformed, the wound is clean, whole and self-healing occurs automatically. Many clients describe this as "dominoes falling over. A beautiful metaphor, because in reality all the situations that were "infected" with this old program also disappear. They transform so that a new foundation arises on which to build new, beautiful experiences.

You can already do this yourself by playing with memories. You can make them more colorful, add different sounds and much more. Especially when they are fraught, you can transform them in such a way that they become more airy and lighter. It will do your whole system good.
