Rapid change through hypnosis
People often ask me when they will get rid of their problems when they start working with hypnosis. The other day I had someone who had suffered from anger attacks for years. In addition, he was also very big and strong so I was already bracing for outbursts. Partly because of clients like that, I realize how nice it is that I have been doing defense sports for years 😉
Hypnosis and Rapid Change
Not that it's necessary to brace yourself, not at all. He himself had also come to the conclusion that getting angry didn't help anything and only got in the way. Now getting angry is not bad, but uncontrollable anger is, of course. With a body like his, you can do a lot of damage.
The first session we did went very well and he went well into hypnosis. I did the EV technique, a method that allows you to work with the emotion without the person having to feel the emotion. You do transform the feeling, but on an unconscious level. So consciously you don't feel anything at all.
You can only do this technique in deep hypnosis, even deeper than somnambulism. After the first session he had lost the feeling, but over time it lurked back. In fact, the pattern that has been in the brain for years is still there. You just create an "alternate pathway" with hypnosis that works better.
The second session I simply let him forget he had ever had it. I had also asked him if he would like to, because it does matter. After all, forgetting is something we all do. You also forgot what happened on June 2 in kindergarten when you were a toddler. Maybe you had a fight or you were happy. You have no idea and that's fine.
Now I let him forget that he would get angry. Indeed, that he had never had it. After the session, he couldn't imagine just getting very angry at someone. Of course you can get angry, but angry? No, he didn't understand anything about that.
It's been months now and still he feels fine and the tantrums are gone. It can go that fast and sometimes even faster. Sometimes slower too because everyone uses their own pace to create an alternative route.
If you realize that in psychology, a short-term course covers about 15 45-minute sessions, you may now realize the power of hypnotherapy in this way. Freeing someone from a problem in 2 sessions, a psychologist cannot do that. A good hypnotherapist can.
So when you find yourself with a problem go and ask yourself what you want. Do you really want to know where it's coming from? Then you can find out with hypnosis. Do you want a solution to your problem? Then you can achieve that with hypnosis. A psychologist will give you exercises that will make you think differently. That can certainly work but requires a lot of training.
Hypnotherapy is always the shortest way is my experience and fortunately many clients share the same idea with me.
