When you decide to quit smoking you are often afraid. Afraid of the withdrawal symptoms that threaten to happen. You're going to gain weight, you're going to get cranky and you may develop many more physical symptoms. You think so, but is that really the case?
Smoking cessation and withdrawal symptoms
For a lot of people, quitting smoking is scary. I had that too. I saw my neighbor getting cranky after he quit and my neighbor getting fatter. Now she was already not slim but after smoking it got worse.
She then immediately wanted to start smoking again because being fat is not everything either. You often see these examples and can influence you to start thinking that it is very difficult then, too. You are as it were programmed by your environment and by all those suggestions.
The beauty is that with hypnosis you can eliminate these influences and create a new idea about smoking and especially not smoking. You then program yourself in a different way, so to speak.
First, it's good to take a look at the old program. Are you really getting fatter? Do you really get cranky? Is it really an addiction? Is it really very difficult to quit smoking?
Getting Thicker
You only get fatter when you start eating more, and often ex-smokers do. They quit smoking and get the urge to eat. That's becausea cigarette consists of 10-20% sugar. Because you no longer get that, you get a craving for sugar and you start eating. That's what ex-smokers do and they warn you that you're really going to get fatter.
Getting cranky
For the exact same reason ex-smokers get cranky, too. They miss that sugar, they miss their buddy, they miss their moment of relaxation, and they don't like it. And that's putting it mildly. Some are almost better off smoking again ;-)
An addiction
Ex-smokers will also claim (and smokers often do) that it is a persistent addiction and that it is very difficult to quit. That if you are going to do it that it is going to be very difficult and that you will have huge withdrawal symptoms. Well...
The myth of smoking
I myself also quit smoking, now 8 years ago and everything I described above I did not have that. Therefore, I was not an ex-smoker, I became a non-smoker. Non-smokers don't get cranky, don't get fatter (unfortunately in my case...) and aren't addicted. They quit a habit.
Smoking is also not an addiction, it is a habit. As long as you don't think about a cigarette, you don't have to smoke. So as long as you never think about a cigarette, you never smoke. That's what non-smokers do. An addiction is much more persistent and also physical.
Of course I can hear the smokers thinking now, yes but.... with me it's different....
Sorry but it's not. You believe it is different and therefore you create it that way. You are either a smoker or an ex-smoker, but you are not a non-smoker. Nicotine is out of your body within 48 hours and then you are free. Everything else you create yourself as a smoker.
Quit Smoking Solution
There are several ways to quit smoking and the most effective way to date is hypnotherapy. If you can do it yourself is obviously the best. That seems logical to me, but when you can't do it yourself for whatever reason, hypnotherapy is best.
There are quite a few gradations to this as well. With us, you're delivered in 1 session. Often within an hour. You will become a non-smoker and you will no longer have any desire for a cigarette. You can always make an appointment.
What you yourself can do is continually instill in yourself that you are a non-smoker. That you are someone who has no desire for a cigarette at all. If you do that often in the right mood (preferably in hypnosis), you can do it yourself.
Good luck!
