We often get the comment from that people are afraid they can't go into or under hypnosis. Many people think they can't be hypnotized. But everyone has been hypnotized before, even it is unconsciously.
So what is hypnosis...
What is hypnosis, or when are you in hypnosis? Ask yourself, have I ever been influenced? Do I ever pay attention to anything? Do I ever relax? Am I ever very focused?
Of course, the answer to those questions is yes. It couldn't even be otherwise, because these are the things that happen to us every day. Hypnosis is a state of super relaxation and super focus.
Hypnosis is: attention, influence and a different state of consciousness. Everyone is paying attention to something. Everyone is constantly influenced by something. Everyone is relaxed at times. And everyone is sometimes focused on something.
In hypnosis, we use it all for good. The hypnotherapist uses the different states, attention, relaxation and focus in therapy. And the faster and deeper a person can go into hypnosis, the faster you can get through the problem. People go into hypnosis all the time. It's also because they want to. After all, that's with everything. If you don't want something, it's not going to happen.
Hypnosis is the same. People who can go easily and deeply into hypnosis are called somnambulists. Not to be confused with "sleepwalkers." Being well hypnotizable has all the advantages. It also means that you can bring about changes quickly. Changes can also be made quickly.
Addictions and Hypnosis
People with addictions, whatever they may be. A drug addiction, an alcohol addiction, an eating addiction, or whatever type of addiction it may be, are all people who are easily influenced.
This is, of course, a hugely interesting fact. Having been an addict myself for years, I know firsthand how effectively hypnosis works to tackle addiction. I also know firsthand how easily those people go into hypnosis. Because you can already influence yourself well, you can also go into hypnosis more easily and that is an advantage for you.
Change can happen quickly. Because you are easily influenced (albeit on a negative level) you can also turn that around to something else, to something better. So it all has positive sides, since you can change yourself quickly, partly because you can go into hypnosis quickly and deeply.
Hypnotherapy and addiction
With hypnotherapy, we explore what is now the trigger of addiction. In addition, we work primarily in the area of self-esteem. Every addiction is a lack of self-esteem and that needs to go up.
So there are a number of things we deploy to tackle addiction. In summary, these are 4 pillars:
- Self-esteem needs to go up and we're going to work on that
- Taking away the need and/or urge with hypnosis
- The 'addiction' (example: cocaine) we make dirty and disgusting
- We are creating an addiction-free future
When we deploy and install these 4 pillars into the unconscious of you, you will be "cured" of your addiction and relapse will no longer be possible.
