There are many differences in the experiences of people undergoing regression therapy. The ways you can do regression also vary widely. In fact, one regression is not the other. There are very many different regression therapy experiences namely.
What is regression anyway
Regression therapy is a form of therapy that assumes that every problem (psychological, physical or emotional) has a cause. This cause can be found in unprocessed experiences in the client's past.
Under careful guidance, these - often traumatic - experiences are traced, relived and still processed. During regression therapy, the client relives past experiences in a trance. Regression therapists see the past broadly: it can be in the present life, or in past lives.
The client's subconscious mind selects which area of experience to work in. Any problem can be addressed with regression therapy, whether physical, emotional or psychological in nature. Also, when you want more insight into yourself, your functioning and/or your life, this therapy is very suitable.
We work with SVR (systemic voice regression) here . This is a way of doing regression that is different from "normal" regressions. The experiences from that regression therapy are often very different, because it is not just about reliving but actually transforming.
Differences in regression therapy experiences
Experience 1:
What an extraordinary experience I lived through: my very first regression session. My head is still overflowing with emotions and feelings of recognition and connection. A lot of things fell into place like pieces of a puzzle.
In this life, I sometimes find it difficult to stand up for who I am because deep down I feel a fear of the consequences that might result. Where the feeling comes from became clear to me after the session and I was able to give it a place. Recently I have started to show who I am and what I stand for!
Experience with regression therapy 2 :
Because I had an eating addiction, I wanted to know where it came from. I thought that was important and went into regression for that. I found out that it had to do with feeling like I never really belonged. I wanted support, but wasn't getting it.
In regression therapy (SVR), I ended up in school and we transformed the memory into another idea. I do get support and I do belong. That came up strongly. I don't need the food now because I feel supported.
Experience with regression therapy 3 :
Since childhood, I have been afraid of dogs. Very scared. In regression, I found out that it had to do with two situations. We reversed those situations so that now I am not afraid at all. In fact I am thinking about getting a dog as a pet... very special....
Regression Experiences
These are different reactions from individuals. One person experiences it as emotional and liberating, another person as a turnaround and another turned it completely around.
That's 3 very different responses that have dealt with regression therapy. What they all achieved is that they became self-reliant. They were able to transform the unconscious program that was holding them back into an unconscious program that actually helps them move forward.
With regression therapy and especially with the SVR method, you too can modify and transform your unconscious programs. Thus, you become an enabler rather than a victim of an unconscious program that is not working.
Know that you can always warp your memories into one that does work for you. You can do that yourself. It's not necessarily easy but it's certainly doable. First think about what you would like to feel in your life and then think about the memory that is holding that back.
What you then do is you load as it were that good feeling into that memory. Then leave the memory alone and repeat that process again after an hour. Do this several times and the memory is changed. Try it.
