NLP technique that works very quickly

In NLP, there are a number of techniques that work very well. Soon my new report 'A New Light on NLP' will be released and in it I describe why those techniques work so well and in this article I highlight a great technique

NLP techniques

An NLP technique is actually a strategy that works so well for most people that in NLP land they call it an NLP technique. You can teach the NLP technique to people so they can apply the technique themselves.

An example of one such technique is the NLP technique for quickly replacing an unpleasant habit such as schwisssh, which I described in a previous article. With this technique you can tackle habits such as nail biting or excessive snacking at lightning speed.

Another NLP technique I will show here in this article. This technique uses the effect of dissociation, but what exactly is dissociation?

What is dissociation

Dissociation is essentially seeing yourself. For example, when you are dissociated from yourself you no longer feel your body. You are out of your body, so to speak, and if you were to make an image of that you would see yourself all the time.

Most people, fortunately, don't have this, but they do when they imagine something. For example, think about a memory from your past? Do you have an image of that? If so, do you see it through your own eyes or do you see yourself?

When you see it through your own eyes, i.e., don't see yourself in that image, you are associated. When you do see yourself in that memory, then you are dissociated.

When it's a fun memory and you see yourself in that picture try looking at it through your own eyes. You'll find that it becomes a lot more fun then.

If it's not a fun time then you shouldn 't do it because it will often amplify emotions. You then want to do it the exact opposite way.

The black and white put-away technique

This NLP technique works very well with negatively charged memories. Not with very heavily charged memories but then it can certainly bring relief. The best way to do this technique is with a memory that was not very nice.

In the video below, I explain and demonstrate it to you.

What was that like to do that NLP technique? Did you succeed?

Please leave a comment below what you thought of this technique. I'm curious...

Yes, Edwin, I’ve always thought that’s a really great NLP technique, too. It’s great that you’re sharing it. I do have a question, though: How do you do this technique on your own? Could you show us how in a video sometime? Thanks in advance!

Interesting article. It does make one think that in memories you often see yourself. So your body is just part of a bigger picture!
