NLP practitioners cannot use hypnosis
It’s striking how many people who have studied NLP are unable to hypnotize. Even those who have studied it in training (or teach it) are often not very good at it. They are often unmatched when it comes to language patterns, but lack the foundation to be truly skilled. And yet, as a model, NLP is fundamentally rooted in hypnosis.
Hypnosis is easy
If you compare NLP to hypnosis, hypnosis is fundamentally much easier. Whereas as an NLP practitioner you pay attention to all kinds of linguistic constructs, sensory filters, submodalities, and omissions, that isn’t necessary with hypnosis. It does make you a better hypnotist if you do all of this, but it doesn’t have to be an obstacle to being good at hypnosis.
