NLP and Hypnosis Are There Many Differences?

NLP and hypnosis are great ways to elevate yourself personally and professionally. It is unfortunate that many training programs offer this separately. Even those that claim to offer both at the same time do not have the depth of a real hypnosis training.

In addition, you then have institutes that see it as completely separate. That's really an aberration when you realize that NLP is a form of hypnosis. It evolved from that. Many of the NLP techniques come from hypnotherapy. Yet there are also differences.

The Differences between NLP and Hypnosis

NLP has a number of differences from hypnosis. Below I will name them:

1. Induction

NLP has no formal inductions. It is often much faster than traditional hypnosis and sometimes just as effective. In hypnotherapy, the key is to first relax the client. With NLP, that can often be done faster AND people remain in the waking state. NLP can also be called a more advanced form of hypnosis in that case.

2. Alignment and Report

Although there are many means and methods of attunement in hypnosis, the methods from NLP are far superior in this. With NLP, you learn that people use a variety of information filters. There are about 14 of them. Each week I am going to pick out one filter and discuss it on my blog. You can find those here. You will find them interesting, I think.

Indeed, when you can tune into those filters it will make your job a lot easier as a coach, manager, parent, teacher or whatever profession you have. Your information will arrive immediately and that will save time and sometimes irritation.

3. Hypnosis continues...

With NLP, you can go far in the change process. Sometimes, however, it is better to go deeper. You have wonderful methods for that with NLP as well, but with hypnosis you can often do that just a little bit better. When you realize that with hypnosis you can get people to do things faster, you also understand that change is often easier. Where with NLP you might encounter limits, in hypnosis those limits are gone.

Agreements

In practice, the combination of hypnosis and NLP is shown time and again to work wonderfully. It complements each other enormously. If you already have knowledge of NLP, hypnosis is a must to learn. The other way around applies exactly the same.

A lot of NLP practitioners have not had hypnosis in their training, which is a shame. After all, it gives more depth and insight into how NLP works. Working with timelines comes from regression therapy. Knowledge of this will greatly enhance working with timelines because you understand how it goes in trance. You can then also guide it better.

With hypnosis, it's exactly the same. As a hypnotherapist, you would do well to start learning NLP. It often makes your work a lot easier. Also, you will probably start getting results much faster. You will find out that sometimes it is not even necessary to bring people into hypnosis (formally then...). An NLP technique is enough.

Supplement

After learning NLP and then delving into hypnosis, I found it increasingly strange that there wasn't a training program that offered both. Why are all these trainings so separate and why is there not one training that teaches both. After all, it is not new. One complements the other and that is an improvement.

Hence, there is now the hypnosis practitioner training course. It is also directly the first block for the Practical Coach training. The coach training in which you also learn all conviction techniques from hypnosis and NLP. It makes you as a coach a lot more confident, resilient and solution-oriented.

In 16 days, you will learn to master this and much more so that you will more easily achieve your goals. Looking at myself, I know it's true. Want to discover that it's going to be true for you too? Then register immediately for the unique 16-day training.
