Did you know
In countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, hypnotherapy is already better embedded in health care than in the Netherlands. Large academic centers, such as Stanford University, do a lot of research on hypnosis and apply it as a complementary form of treatment for pain management, fear of medical procedures, irritable bowel syndrome (PDS) and trauma-related complaints, among others. Hospitals such as Harvard Medical School and clinics in Germany are also increasingly researching and using hypnosis within a medical setting. increasingly within a medical setting.
In England, hypnotherapy for specific symptoms, such as PDS, is even reimbursed within the national healthcare system (NHS). It is not yet widely available there, but is recognized as a valuable adjunct. Hypnotherapy is hardly prescribed or reimbursed here, while it could work for thousands of people. This is frustrating for both therapists and patients.
With National Hypnosis Day, we want to narrow that gap. Not by convincing people with words or theory, but by letting them experience for themselves what hypnosis is and what impact it can have on health and well-being.
We at Hypnosis Institute Netherlands organize a Hypnosis Day twice a year to help children in need.

These hypnotherapists participate selflessly and normally charge an average of 150 euros for a session. Now you can get an experience for as little as 10 euros! More is of course allowed, because everything goes to charity. Nothing is left behind anywhere. In fact, we always round up the amount :-).

Last time, we all raised 7,777.00 Euros. I think we should be able to do better, as we could help even more people on the day.
But! Places are limited, though. Every half hour we can help a maximum of 25 people and we do this for 6 hours straight. So 300 people can attend.
Full is full, unfortunately, because although the space is quite large, it is limited.

I am grateful to have completed the Hypno principles training at the HIN. It has personally enriched me on several levels. I have enjoyed taking the 1.0 and 2.0 at the HIN. The trainers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the course material is excellent, and Edwin Selij is the Hypnosis King for a reason! I have been able to give gifts to many people. The best experience so far is that I was able to free my father (84 yrs old) from his painful knees!
