Money Makes Happy

For a very long time it was thought and you may still think it that money doesn't make you happy. Or that it does make you happy but above a certain limit it no longer does.

Nonsense is proven by research and the book by Ab Dijksterhuis, professor of psychology at Radboud University.

Money does make you happy

Money does make you happy, and the more the happier. But there is one but to it. Wanting money and hunting for it again makes one unhappier.

Huh?

Having and earning money doesn't necessarily make you happier, but spending it on the right things again does. You live a completely different life when you have a lot of money. You can cope with setbacks more easily, you can spend it on cool experiences and you can give it away to people who have it less.

And that simply makes them happier. And the more you have, the more you can do that and that's great.

Because consider yourself. Imagine you help a family in need by giving groceries. That "costs" you, say, 50 euros. However, you get a lot in return. That 50 euros gives you a lot of feelings of happiness.

Say you do this with 20 families and it "costs" you $1,000. How many of those feelings do you get. Or with 200, or with 2000....

And in addition, you can "buy" cool experiences, so to speak. Go anywhere, see things you would like to see and the more money the more you can do.

You can put your children through college without debt, let your parents retire, buy houses for your children and your parents. That's definitely going to make you happier (of course, you only do that if you like your kids and parents).

So the idea that money doesn't make you happy and is bad is simply not true, yet many people believe it. The funny thing is, those are often the people who have no money.

People with a lot of money I've never heard say that. There will always be exceptions to the rule, but those are exceptions. The rule is that money does make people happier, so get out of the hypnosis that it would be bad and just go rake in lots of money.

There is plenty and you can do great things with it. I grant it to you!
