Married at first sight - take advantage of this tip (RTL4 #MAFS)

#MAFS

You may be wondering what that hashtag stands for. It stands for Married At First Sight, that program.

Fascinating program where they are going to make matches on a psychological and biological profile. So they are going to approach "love" scientifically, so to speak.

Well love, it's more about attraction and retaining a partner. Retaining? Yes because they get married right away, before they've ever seen each other. That's the experiment

And I find that interesting because would that work? In the matches that come out of it, it works pretty well. Emphasis on pretty well, because you also see the unconscious programs in the individuals who go off immediately.

Outwardly driven programs and also all sorts of lists the other person must meet. That works against as you understand, but in those where it does work you see beautiful things happen.

Most people choose what they recognize and know. Of course, there are exceptions, but they are exceptions. The first relationship you know is from your parents, and you then subconsciously look for something like that. You also look for someone similar to your father or to your mother. Being a man or a woman.

It's the same with adoptive children, only they look for in a partner traits of their adoptive parent. That's not a fable, that's simply science.

Interesting hypnosis don't you think? But yes, we can think. And then you see that happening in that program. Where it works, there those people really look alike. In terms of appearance, in terms of ideas, and of course they differ a little bit, but if there is no basis, there is not much.

That's why those Volendammers and Urkers aren't so crazy. On average 40 percent of all marriages fail and in Urk less than one percent. Now of course that has several factors but an important one is "us knows us.

Opposites attract is a nice song by Paula Abdul, but otherwise it doesn't add up.

So the trick to a long relationship is found in the similarities and equality, not the differences. 'Two faiths on one pillow, the devil sleeps between' is such a nice saying that is scientifically quite true too.

So dear singles of the Netherlands, look for your father or mother among all those men and women and you are more likely to have a long relationship than if you don't.

Nice idea, I get, but take advantage of it.
