More people die from too much than from too little down their throats
Yesterday I heard Lebbis (Hans Sibbel) say that more people die from eating too much than from eating too little. And I thought that was an interesting statement so I looked it up.
And I took the headline above from the NRC. There they were going to "fact check" if that was true. Do more people really die these days from eating too much than from eating too little
Malnutrition or excess nutrition
The answer is yes. Not in all countries, it's true, but across the world's population, more people die today from eating than from not eating.
Shocking I found that.
And just showing those spots of those crying African malnourished kids all the time. Better to show crying fat people overeating these days. That's the target group that is much more at risk than those African children.
At least it appears that.
Heady idea I thought. Now I knew that over 50% of people are overweight, but that it was so at risk that we now have to be more afraid of eating than not eating, I thought that was separate.
But when you think about it a little more, it also makes sense.
40,000 years ago, you spent about four hours a day gathering your food. Now it takes you maybe 15 minutes. You walk through the supermarket, you can collect all the food that is made all over the world, and you go home.
Little effort and some just have it delivered. And then they drop it in the kitchen for you. Just a little more and they'll make it ready for you too. Then all you have to do is stay on the couch and open your mouth....
And so this trend is deadly. More deadly than malnutrition now. We are massively in the hypnosis of "eating a lot" and "not exercising enough. Already, the World Health Organization advises that children under the age of four should have little on a tablet, and children under the age of one at all. Because they play and move far too little as a result.
And if they don't do that enough and sit on that tablet a lot? Then they'll just die an early death....
Not because of those tablets or not playing necessarily, but because of those bad habits in the long run.
Enjoy your Sunday 🙂
