Course learning everyone should do

Course learningEveryone should take a course in learning hypnosis. In fact, in school they should pay more attention to this. They pay a lot of attention to what you should start learning, but how you should learn, there is virtually no attention to that. That's a lack

Course learning

In school, they should actually do it, but they choose the easy way. Now it seems like the easy way, in the long run it is actually a much more difficult way and many students fall by the wayside.

You can see it emerging as early as elementary school. As a parent of 4 children, I am now quite at home with school and how it goes on. The advantage now is that my kids can keep up just fine. Lucky, you might say, but nothing could be further from the truth....

My oldest son is smart, but not really challenged. He's fine with it, so is the teacher, and us? Well, he's doing fine, so what do you care, right? He doesn't need a learning to learn course.

Now there are also children who can't keep up and they get more attention, just more of the same. They are offered education one way and not their way.

Senses and learning

We all have a preferred sense. For most people (80%) it is visual. That is also what education is geared toward. However, when you do more by hearing, you quickly run into problems. Because when you hear chocolate, you hear shokola. There goes your spelling then.

No one explains or trains you to see it in front of you. You can prevent many cases of dyslexia through this. For example, you have a spelling strategy that if you do it for an hour, you already get incredible results in children with spelling problems.

And that's just 1 example. Another example is that exercise and gym are cut back a lot . In Denmark it is quite different. There they play outside a lot and only start learning to read at the age of 7. Only then are the eyes biologically developed to focus properly. In Denmark, hardly anyone has glasses either....

In Singapore, they taught children to read as early as age 3 to create a head start and stopped doing so when it was found that they were all wearing glasses by age 10. It makes you think.

Learning goes better when you move more and you make it fun. It's also good that each learner is offered the material just a little bit more.

When you take some time to do that as a teacher, learning goes faster and easier. Of course, it is important that afterwards the material is also offered in other ways, otherwise you are not training flexibility.

Every learner has a different learning strategy. Some need to hear it 8 times, some need to do it, and some need to see it 5 times, for example. If you take the time to figure out how a person learns and start the learning process from there, it goes faster and learning becomes more effective.

There's nothing wrong with taking a course to learn hypnosis. Even for adults, of course. For example, a good idea to do is to take a speed reading course. I'm doing one now from Mark Tigchelaar, an authority on the subject. Surf to his site to see what he offers. Is super interesting! Highly recommended!

Speed reading course is highly recommended. Ordered a course from the loi years ago. Still enjoy it today. Also included course in mind mapping. Good tool to organize your thoughts. And for older students, Leiden University has created a page with study tips and study skills. http://studietips.leidenuniv.nl

Edwin, Everyone learns in their own way, but a major problem is that the classes are sometimes too large, which means that attention isn’t given to the more important things, such as the aspect of how to learn. My youngest daughter (a psychologist and criminologist) has always made sure to study with a clear mind. Early in the morning, after some exercise (a short walk outdoors) and, above all, visualizing things whenever possible. Once you’ve found a method that works for you, that’s when learning becomes easiest.
