Hypnosis is your reality whether you want it or not
The hypnosis we are all exposed to as children is that of our family. Whether it is your "real" father or mother or some other educator, they force a reality on you that you must come to believe. Don't get me wrong, that's fine because you all have to learn new things, but it is hypnosis
Hypnosis is the reality you are living in right now
When you are born then you have to survive and so you are going to mold to your family. When you walk into the garden and you marvel at all those beautiful colors and your mother says, "Isn't that fantastic?", suddenly you have your experience locked into words. Now that seems fine but it also leaves out a lot of your unique feelings.
Because let's face it, the word fantastic doesn't quite cover it. When you experience something, something wonderful, miraculous, amazing, do those words cover the charge of the experience you are having? No, they don't and they can't. They don't say "A picture says more than a thousand words" for nothing.
And that's where your path of development begins. You will enter the world of duality, because when something is labeled as fantastic, there is also something that is not fantastic. There is no other way and you will learn that soon enough.
Because you are open to all suggestions, after all you are all learning new things, suggestions that are not helpful to you also come in. They may be necessary at the time because you need to "survive," but they don't belong to you.
You think you do, it feels that way, and even stronger, you don't even know what patterns you have and why you often react that way. You have been hypnotized since childhood, but who are you really?
So what is hypnosis really
Many people mistakenly think that hypnosis is a form of relaxation or even that all hypnosis, is self-hypnosis. This is nonsense, you are being hypnotized and a reality is being forced upon you that you really don't consciously choose. Certainly not when you are small.
Imagine if it were true that all hypnosis were self-hypnosis, then therefore everything that happens to me is my fault. After all, all the suggestions I received, I chose to believe. Well, it's a bit crude to say that to a three-year-old girl or boy with a traumatic problem.
Hypnosis is being open to suggestion. That's what it is and that's all it is. And aren't we all open to suggestions? Every day? Of course we are open to suggestions, especially if they are good suggestions.
So you are in a state of hypnosis all day long, and suggestions come to you that you accept or don't accept. You do so consciously or unconsciously, and the latter is interesting.
The unconscious creator of your hypnotic reality
How do you actually do that? Subconsciously take suggestions? You do that based on your unconscious automatic programs. If these are unknown to you, then you automatically accept all suggestions that confirm that program.
One example, you find yourself awkward. It's not that that's a problem for you, because you know it about yourself. How exactly you know it, you don't know, but it's just the way it is. Anything that comes your way that requires dexterity you either turn down, let someone else do it, or you try it anyway to confirm to yourself that you indeed can't do it.
This program is unconscious and can be true, but also not true at all, because can't you learn everything you think? Of course, you won't become the most gifted handyman right away, but certainly a handyman. At least if you want to.
After all, it's not the reality you believe in, but the hypnosis you're in. If you can recognize that about yourself then you can take steps to get out of it. Awareness is the first step.
Good luck!
