Everyone at the DTI
Yesterday we did a DTI. A what? A Deep Trance Identification. I'm a big fan of that.
This is how you learned practically everything when you were very small. Not by copying or imitating, no by doing. Sounds logical but let me explain very briefly.
If you are very small then you don't have your own self yet. That comes around your first year when you first shout, "Ikke Zellluf!
Then suddenly you have an "I" and a "Self. That 'I' learns by doing. Better said by being. You are your mother, you are your father, you are your educators. That is why it is helpful for a child to have multiple role models.
In the old days, everyone lived together. Grandpa, grandma, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, the whole mess. The child could then choose, as it were, who he wanted to be. Unconsciously, of course, this went on, but when you have multiple choices, you choose what is best for you.
If you have only one choice then this is what you do. Not necessarily the most convenient one. So if you live with your mom or dad, you choose one of two role models. If mom is angry and says "there's nothing wrong hear? Then you do the same to your children later. After all, you are mom.
It is the easiest way to learn namely. By being someone you learn much faster and you do that as a child. You even literally play father and mother. You look around, see people who have lived longer than you, who are bigger than you, and they will know.
Hindsight was often not so bad, but then all those patterns are already there. Good patterns, but also patterns that are not helpful. Rules that limit you rather than strengthen you.
That's because of the DTI you used to do. You were your mother, you were your father and picked up from them everything you wanted to know. But subconsciously also those things that are not so useful.
It is as it is, but you can still do that skill. You can still DTI. And in hypnosis, that works great. You can then choose who you want to be and copy skills from.
Yesterday, trainees chose Mandela, Dr. Phil, Mesmer, Bandler, Tony Robbins and many more. So you can pick up wisdom from people you want to learn from. Super cool!
You used to have no choice, but now you do. Who would you want to DTI with if you had the chance?
