Hypnosis from your name

Last week I was watching Tim Fransen and it was about names like Louis the Fourteenth.

In France, of course, they don't call him Louis, they call him Louis. Makes sense, too. William of Orange was called Guillaume d'Orange in France. Also interesting. We called Louis Louis and they called William Guillaume. That's how it used to be

Hypnosis by Name

In Spain, they just called Willem Guillermo. Ok so far in principle fine, but we don't call Barack Obama Barrie Opdam or something now. Would be crazy too, but we used to do that with names.

The question is when did that change? I have no idea, and when I heard it that way, I was in some sort of confusion. Somewhere that changed again. Someone somewhere decided, "We're just going to call everyone by their real names again...

But then again, who was that? Who got us out of that hypnosis? No idea.

And I find that laughable. That kind of moment when you are taken out of hypnosis I like that. Doesn't matter in what context.

Sometimes it's less laughable, too. Especially when you are fiercely defending something and it doesn't make sense anymore. Like smoking, for example. 50 years ago it was quite normal.

Doctors used to smoke even in the consulting room. Cigarettes were on the table at birthdays and almost everyone did it.

And now how do you look at that girl smoking a cigarette behind the stroller? Almost as if she were a half-criminal.

For example, I think that too is an interesting hypnosis. There too, a tipping point has suddenly appeared. Don't get me wrong, it's up to everyone what they do. What I find interesting is that turning point in hypnosis. How we come out of one and go into another.

And so you can do that with anything. Even in your own life. The hypnosis of the past may no longer work for you at all. Step out and step into a new one that works better. The great thing is that it just can.

Then again, you have to be able to do hypnosis. Take a look here for more info on that.
