Perhaps a somewhat bold title for some people. Is success really a choice? For those who are successful, the answer is probably a resounding yes. But what if you’re not successful—is that also a choice?
Success is a Choice
Let's start with the definition of success. What is success anyway. According to the Van Dale, it means:
- Good outcome
- Happiness
- Addendum
Looking at 2 of those meanings has little to do with choice. You just have to be lucky and you just have to get acclaim. Do you have a choice in that? Not much.
But is that definition accurate. Is it true happiness when you are successful? Personally, I say, "No. I base that on the fact that almost everyone who is successful thinks so.
Then, of course, comes the question, "What is being successful? That's different for everyone, but I'll give my list.
I am successful when I:
- Being a good father
- A good partner am
- Being meaningful in my work
- Helping people take a step forward in their lives
- Have financial freedom
- Can enjoy all the beauty around me
- At this weight stay
- Stay Fit
- Can laugh at my problems
That's my list and your list is bound to be different. How much influence do you have in it to create your own success? Looking at the above examples, do you have to be "lucky" to stay fit, for example? No. You can take care of that yourself. It's a choice.
No Success is also a Choice
Now we come to the following. If you're not successful now, that's also a choice. That may take some swallowing, but stay tuned. If you look at the above list, then it's fair to assume that you could achieve all those things, right? If you don't have that now and want to then do something else. And that's a choice.
Often, however, that choice is unconscious. Therefore, it seems like you have no choice. That kind of unconscious pattern is a crime. The best way is to create new unconscious patterns with hypnosis. Then you can get rid of them forever.
Guerrilla or General
The unconscious patterns that don't bring you success (yet) also keep you stuck in that place of "no-success. And that' s a choice. The "It's just the way it is" or "I'm just the way I am," however, lurk like guerrillas to nip in the bud anyone who tries to prove otherwise.
Other rebels also lurk in that jungle and will vigorously shoot down any attack. And, of course, there is plenty of evidence of failure. But yes, the rebels and guerrillas may have the jungle, but they will never get the rest. They are not powerful enough to attack. They can only defend their positions.
People who succeed are like a general. They lay out their plan and strategize. Sure, they suffer from guerrillas and rebels, but they draw their own plan.
What you need to start doing first is conquering and occupying your jungle. Capture the rebels and guerrillas and make them defect. You have to make them work for you. When you have done that only then can you move on.
Then once you get to that point you can start making strides and conquering the territory you want. Those areas can be within your jungle itself. It can also be outside of it. An area in the jungle might be: 'More motivation to exercise.' An area outside it might be, for example, 'Going to the gym'.
And who are iij? Are you a guerrilla or are you a general.
Please share below and also list your row in which you want to be more successful. Maybe others reading this can start helping you with it. So share it also with everyone in your network on LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. You can do that with the buttons below!
