Last weekend was the hypnosis event and it was really awesome. It's always fun to do, but this time we also had something special we hadn't done before. Live therapy demonstrations and I gave a demonstration to someone who had claustrophobia, which was very interesting.
Hypnotherapy and Claustrophobia
During the break of Day 1, a lady came up to me and wanted to make an appointment with me for a consultation. She had been suffering from claustrophobia for a lifetime. Claustrophobia is the fear of small spaces. She didn't lock the toilet and in traffic jams she panicked. Naturally, I said it was fine to make an appointment.
On Day 2, I asked if anyone wanted to come forward for a demonstration of the "yes set. This is a tactic for quickly getting people in a mood to do what you want them to do. Perfect tool for presentations and, of course, hypnotherapy.
3 people raised their hands, including that lady. She was eager to experience this induction and I asked her if she also wanted to work on her problem. Of course she wanted to, because who wouldn't want to get rid of a lifelong fear?
After the induction, we got to work and the tactics and techniques I used had super quick results.
What I used:
- Regression
- Hypno-analysis
- Voice-Dialogue
- Gestalt Therapy
- Future Pace imprinting
It's 5 techniques in one session!
During regression, you go back into your past to bring up situations related to the problem—in this case, claustrophobia.
In hypno-analysis, you are going to analyze those situations exactly what happened there in order to gain insights that you might have forgotten and that can help you solve the problem. After all, insight in hypnosis does lead to change;-)
With Voice Dialogue, you engage with the different personalities who were there to reach insights as well.
In Gestalt therapy, you release the emotions that were there in those situations and with the Future Pace imprint, you start creating a new reality for the client in the future. A reality without claustrophobia.
All this took 15 minutes!
A lot happened during the session in a short amount of time, and many issues came to the surface. Of course, I won’t go into detail, but it’s often the case that when someone experiences anxiety, there’s something else underlying it —and that was certainly true here. Everyone who was there (30 people) could see an
enormous change in the woman. She stepped out of her prison!
The great thing was that she went to the restroom afterwards and unconsciously locked the restroom and only found out when she wanted to get out again. Her unconscious had immediately turned on another automatic pattern and the LIVE test was also successful.
It’s so wonderful to be able to give these gifts to others, but you can also give them to yourself once you know how to use hypnosis. You can also do this (in a slightly different way) through self-hypnosis. Of course, this takes some practice, but anyone can do it!
Can you imagine that with 15 minutes you can solve a lifelong problem within yourself? Maybe not, and it could also be that 15 minutes does indeed not succeed. With that lady it did succeed and with more clients it succeeds. Usually, however, 2 sessions are needed.
When you know these techniques and make them your own, you can take your life to the next level for yourself. You can then break with your fears, with your insecurities or with your addictions. I too have for the most part done it myself with self-hypnosis.
When you consider that every negative emotion comes from somewhere and you can leave it there, a world will open up for you!

Results vary from person to person.
