A 4-hour work week

I have been reading a lot of books lately and my goal is to read at least one book a week and preferably two books a week. When I am very busy I do not manage to read two books, but always at least 1. One book I read the other day is a 4-hour work week.

A 4-hour work week

The book a 4-hour work week describes how to eventually achieve a 4-hour work week. Perhaps this is not feasible for everyone (though...) but you can certainly get a lot of inspiration from it.

What particularly inspired me was the piece on rules and how to bend them so that you can begin to bend them to your will. The author Timothy Ferris put an impressive list at the beginning of the book of what he has accomplished.

For example, he is Guiness Book of Record holder tango dancing, is Chinese national kickboxing champion, American kickboxing champion, speaks 6 languages fluently and has seen all of the world.

He also works at most 4 hours a week and pockets a nice amount of money in the month. He went from working 12 hours a day and $40,000 a year to working 4 hours a week and $40,000 in the month. Interesting right?

Whether you make it to that I don't know, of course, but it's certainly inspiring how he writes it all down and what steps you can start taking. The booklet is also full of practical tips and exercises.

Break the rules

One of the best stories I found from the booklet was how he became Chinese National kickboxing champion. Exactly according to the rules he played the game but when you hear what rules he used it is hilarious. I'm not going to give it away, then really you just have to buy it.

Not just because of that story, of course, but because of the many tips and tricks it contains. One of the exercises in it is to look people in the eyes for a long time until they look away. It helps you resolve all kinds of fears in yourself.

I already used this exercise in my trainings to create more confidence in my trainees and it works super. You then see that very quickly they gain so much confidence to do hypnosis that also the results are many times better.

If you’d like to purchase the booklet, you can do so below. Highly recommended!
